Some water condensations around bath fan

There are some water condensations around my bathroom fan, sometimes a few water drops. There was no rain, but it was bitterly cold around 10 degree for the past week in MN. How to fix the problem. Thanks a lot!

THATS GONNA HAPPEN WITH THE HUMIDITY IN THE BATHROOM AND THE TEMP DIFFERENCE. TRY INSULATING THE DUCT WORK FOR THE VENT. INSTALL A FLAPPER SIMILAR TO WHAT A CLOTHES DRYER HAS. U DON'T WANT COLD AIR COMING IN. INSTALL A DEHUMIDIFIER.

Wet ceiling from my bath exhaust fan, how to stop?

Probably due to 1 0f 2 things...
1- Not enough power in the exhaust fan to take out all the mist /steam from the shower.. or

2- Condensation build up due to too much steam at one time.
(especially if fan is NOT ventilated properly)

If you have access to the fan, see if the label states the CFM 's it can remove. May not be enough for the size bathroom you have.

Both of these can be solved by installing a larger capacity fan system. Make sure to vent it to the outside of the home too, since venting to a cold attic area (in winter) can cause even more condensation to drip down.

How can we get rid of the occasional sewer smell in our house?

When you next get the smell, check the traps to see if there is enough water in there to fill the trap, if one is less then it looks like water is getting sucked out when toilet is flushed or that trap (usually bath or shower) hasn't had water going in (lack of use) and water has partially evaporated.

Should i use the same drywall in the bathroom as in the rest of the house?

I recommend using MR (Moisture Resistant) drywall for the bathroom, and possibly for the basement if there are moisture issues. It is not much more expensive, and it can save you a big headache later

I have two bathrooms directly under each other. The hinges on both cabinets (under the sink) are rusted and the pipes going from the wall to under the sink are also rusted. There are NO LEAKS ANYWHERE in...

You can't stop condensation or humidity in the house, especially in the bathrooms. A few choices: replace the hinges, or oil the hinges with WD-40. Install a vent fan (even though you have a window) and replace the pipes with PVC pipes. Metal drain pipes will always rust, because they drain water. Replace all under sink drain pipes with PVC

When I run water through this tub spout (diverter in down position) I still have water leaking from the showerhead. I have seen water from a tub spout when the shower is on, but not the other way around....

After you turn water off in about 30 secs pull the diverter up and leave for a few minutes This should allow the water left in shower piipe to drain out the spigot

Cell phone dropped in water - red dot showing - options?

you don't need to actually drop your phone in water for there to be water damage.
simple things like having your phone in the rain, in the bathroom while you shower, around a hot tub, or possibly even if it's really humid outside can set this water damage sensor off.
it just gives phone companies more ways to void your warranty.

hope this helped.
