Have you programmed it for your area? For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:
www.RadioReference.com
Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:
If it is an older pro 2052 they dont scan trunked and conventional at the same time. The newer models do both. I'm not sure what tear they changed it but search Google for an answer.
Do you still receive NOAA weather frequencies? Sounds like your local agencies have switched from simplex/standard frequency operation to trunking. I suggest you visit www.RadioReference.com to view the latest on active frequencies and systems in your area.
It is difficult to explain in simple terms but I will try.
Google rebanding.
Some radios can have their firmware updated but I don't think your PRO 2066 can.
Channel numbers and frequencies preprogrammed into your scanner have changed over the past few years.
When a data signal says go to channel X that channel is now Y, but your scanner is still looking for X
Hope this helps
Your scanner has somehow gotten out of alignment, and there's no way to fix it with just a screwdriver. Your best bet for repair is your local Radio Shack. If they can't do the repair they should be able to refer you to a local, or they can ship it off for alignment.
no there are no adjustments, you need to check to make sure tha tthe pro-95 you have is compatible with the trunking system in your area, i have the same problem with my pro-97 problem is just the codec that they use is too new for one of my scanners and the only way to listen in is to have the radio scan all output channels that arent control channels or transmitting all time
mORE AND MORE POLICE AGENCIES ARE SWITCHING TO "DIGITAL TRUNKING". I CAN ONLY PICK UP PARTS OF MY LOCAL SHERIFFS STATIONS. RADIO SHACK HAS THE NEW dIGITAL TRUNKING SYSTEMS THEY COST ABOUT $500. I AM UP GRADING NOW.
FOR TRUNKING ... WHEN YOU GET A ACTIVE CHANNELL KEEP HITTING THE RED TRUNK BUTTON TILL YOU SEE THE MOTOREOLA 5 NUMBEWR ID.THJEN HIT ENTER.
I WANT THE NEW PROGRAMER THAT IS FAST ENOUGH TO FOLLOW DIGITAL HYPER-TRUNKING. ALL POLISE ARE GOING TO IT EVENTUALLY.
