Does it get hot when you start the dryer, and never gets hot again when its running? The solenoid wire might be opening due to heat, the solenoid is responsible for opening the gas valve, and booster valve. The wire is located in a round plastic sleeve with two electrical contacts sticking out.

You may be able to fix the solenoid by heating the electrical contact parts where the wires connect and reflowing the solder inside the solenoid, this worked for me.

Dryer tumbles, blows cold air no heat, looking for access to fuses, dont know what part of dryer fuses are located

Many times one pole of a double pole breaker may trip allowing the dryer to operate but with no heat. Go to the electric panel and reset the circuit breaker for the dryer. Also check to insure there is air flow at the vent a clogged vent willl prevent clothes from drying

Our GE Profile DPSB613ED2WW dryer has been losing drying efficiency for the past few months. It now takes three cycles to completely dry a load. The dryer is heating (although we assume not correctly) and...

How is the vent discharge air flow out the back of dryer? If not very strong check out lint trap cavity for blockage or obstuction causing lint to build up, blocking air flow from drum cavity. Once found a pocket comb that had got into lint trap housing and created a lint dam blocking air flow.

Dried a load fine, next load tumbles wont dry. still cant get heat

Hi,

Make sure front of dryer is not blocked, air flow is needed to dry.Check that the lint filter and exhaust duct is clean.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, If one is blown, the dryer may still operate but not heat. Alternatively, the dryer may heat, but it may not heat up as hot as it should. Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty Heating Element. You will need to replace it.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Need to know were the fuses are located. the dryer runs but does not have heat.

Rathen than looking for fuses, it sounds more like your heating element is burned out.

Dryer shuts off shortly after starting it, model dwsr483eb2ww , ge, electric

Have you taken the vent off of the back of the dryer that attachs to your house? When you detach the vent run one normal load and if it drys fine then it a vent issue with your house and not a failure with your unit. Email me back if that doesn't fix it.

GE Profile Harmony DPGT750EC Electric Dryer not heating up

Check the air flow from the vent-if there is no air or very weak air flow, it is the blower motor. It is not getting up to speed or not spinning at all. Try this:
Press "Home"
Press "Help"
Simultaneously press and hold down BOTH
"My Cycles" and "Back"
After a few seconds the dryer will enter service mode and report any problems.

Warms up and tumbles, but will not dry the load

possible poor air flow out of the dryer and the house. check these and repost. It could also be a partially bad element. Post the model number as well.
