Stacked Washer/dryer When washer is in the spin cycle it makes a VERY LOUD high pitch noise like it's going to take off in a drag race. It scares the daylight out of us.
Possible the bearings are going. place yor hand in the bottom of the drum and run the drum around and feel the bearings for any wear/ noise/vibration. alteratively the bearings in the motor could have gone and spinning with the belt removed would prove this.

I understand you have a problem with your stacked washer & dryer, thank you for providing the model number (of both) that is a good start... however I need to follow that up with a couple of questions.
Are these "new to you" machines or have you had them prior to this and just never stacked ?
Also had you run the washer before they where stacked and not noticed an vibrations violently/noise like a hammer spinning inside?
Finally, what method did you use to fasten the dryer to the top of the washer and did you remove the cabinet top of the washer before stacking...for the record it should not be removed as was the case with some other manufactured machines.
Let me know if you can add anything further along with the make & model. I will wait for your reply to move forward.
When that happens it is often because the drum bearing is starting to go. The first symptom is a loud high pitched noise during the spin part of the cycle. As problem gets worsening you will notice that the drum will be a bit wobbly if you spin it by hand.
Check to see if you have a bra underwire or nail stuck in the spin tub. Look around inside the tub looking for something stuck in one of the holes. Dont use the machine until you find the problem or you cut the tub in half with like a nail or screw and then the machine has to be rebuilt $$$$
You may have other problems, However start here. Let me know if you have other questions
I would take body of washer find out where noise coeing from.. got 2 screws in each side of head, flip head up and take clamps off .. pull whole body off washer run thu cycle and see if ya can locate the noise.. sometimes water pumps get something in them that well make weird noises.. but are in all cycles.
