Hi,
A program, or an Application are both programs, but the former will be accessed through the program manager [PRGM] and the latter through application manager .[APPS] .If it is a program (in the context of the TI84Plus) you press [PRGM]. You see three menus [Exec [Edit] [New]. If there are any programs in the calculator, you should see them under [Exec] and under [Edit].

A. To RUN a program

  1. To run a program already in calculator, you select its name under the [EXEC] menu and press [ENTER]. If you get an error message "undefined" it is most certainly due a variable or parameter used in the program without its being defined first.
  2. This is programming error that must be corrected by editing the program.
  3. Usually you get a QUIT or GOTO in the error message.
  4. Press the number corresponding to GOTO and the cursor will be at the place where the error occurs
  5. If a program is archived (it has an asterisk in front of it name) you cannot run it. It must be unarchived first.
B. To edit a program
  1. To edit a program already in calculator, you select its name under the [EDIT] menu and press [ENTER].
  2. If you are allowed to edit it, you will be able to enter, delete and modify commands.
  3. To do so, you must know the programming language of the TI84Plus.
  4. If a program is archived (it has an asterisk in front of it name) you cannot edit. It must be unarchived first.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for rating this solution.

I showed you where you would find your program in the calculator, if you successfully transferred it. I also showed you how to open it for editing to correct programming errors. If you get a message with GOTO, just press the ENTER button and the calculator will show you where the error is located.
The message "undefined" appears each time you try to use a variable, a function, a program that you called for execution but did not define prior to calling it, or does not exist anywhere on the machine.
It might help solve your problem, if you took a fraction of the time it took me to write the answer, to tell us what program you want to run, what message you get (the whole message).
If no comments are forthcoming, I for one will conclude that you are no longer interested in solving your problem.

Ti 84 plus can't transfer 8C010000

Transferring data and programs to the calculator requires a lot of energy that almost dead batteries cannot provide. Change batteries and try the transfer again using TI Connect. To transfer from a similar calculator the receiving one must be in RCV (receive mode).

How to install additional software

You can write programs and type them in. You can also find programs on the Internet and transfer them to the calculator. For that you need TI Silver cable, TI Connect software you can download from education.ti.com. Programs are available at education.ti.com or at TIcalc.org. The use of Third-party software is at your own risk.

My RAM was cleared and now all of my favorite programs (including wrong calculation programs) were cleared. How am I supposed to revive the programs?

The applications created by TI people can be downloaded from education.ti.com and transferred to the calculator using the TI Connect software. Similarly, the third party program found on the Internet at tiCalc.org or other sites can also be downloaded and transferred to the calculator. As to the programs you typed in yourself, you will have to retype them again.

To prevent future losses of programs you must frequently backup the contents of your calculator on a computer. Use the TI connect backup feature.
I must add that you can also transfer programs and apps from a similar calculator.

I accidently deleted program on TI-83 plus. How do I retrieve it? Thanks.

If it's a TI program, you can download it from
http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Software/Search/Results?cp=2

Otherwise you'll have to get it from where you originally got it. In either case, you'll have to connect the TI to your computer using a USB cable and transfer the program.

My ti-83 plus just reset itself and i lost all my important programs. Is there any way that i can get them back onto my calculator?

Yes. Go to education.ti.com. Click the Download>>Software and Apps>>TI83/84Plus Family. You will find all the applications you lost and some others too.
Download what you want on your computer. Then use thye TI connect software to transfer the apps on the calculator. You need the TI USB Silver Link cable. If you do not have a Silver Link cable but have the Black Graphlink cable, you need the Graphlink software.
All these softwares are available on the TI site under Connectivity software.

Alternatively you can transfer them from a working calculator. For this you need a calc-to-calc I/O cable.

Urgenttttt --- when i used notefolio on my computer to transfer notes to my calculator TI-89... i could not find transferred notes on my calculator!! where can find it?? or do i have to download...

You need to install notefolio to your TI-89.

You can download the program from:
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_notefolio_89.html

After you download the program file, you can use TI-Connect to transfer the program file to your calculator (after you connect the calculator to the computer with the USB cable). To transfer the files, simply drag and drop the program file onto the TI-Connect icon on your computer.

To learn more about the Notefolio app, here is the guidebook:
