Windows admin password forgotten is a normal thing nowadays and many ways you can choose to unlock. If you have a reset disk you can use it crack directly; if don't have, you can create one by yourself with blank DVD/CD or formatted USB flash drive. To create one you can download Ophcrack or Anmosoft Windows Password Reset. But personally, I strongly recommend Anmosoft, which is more effective and safer and you can learn more from:http://www.resetwindowspassword.com

Here is a simple way to fix the problem. (this will also work on xp)
at login screen. click on the password entry field & press ctrl+alt+del
it will give a new login window put Administrator as username and leave password blank, and hit enter
or
at pc startup, keep pressing f8. you will then get a menu.
select safe mode and click enter.
now you should see a login screen.
there will be an administrator account. by default this has no password. log in to this account and go to user accounts and remove the old password.
if this doesn't work you can try using the super admin account. here is a guide. http://www.computerperformance.co.uk...r_activate.htm
if all these fail. download this
offline nt password & registry editor http://www.pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ there is a guide on the site on how to use it.
also this programme is on hirens boot cd http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd which is an invaluable group of programmes for your pc.
also to burn a bootable cd i would recommend a programme called imgburn
http://www.imgburn.com/
here is a guide on how to use it YouTube- How-To: Create a Bootable CD With ImgBurn

You can recover windows password with windows password recovery tool. I know a tool named "windows login recovery" that can remove windows password without losing any data and you needn't reinstall windows OS. Download it from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com and burn the program to a blank CD or a usb flash drive, insert the CD into the problem computer and reset your password to “Blank”. By the way, it is also useful to recover administrator password.

I forgot my password what can i do?

If it's the Windows password, and you have another account on your laptop that has administrator rights, log in into that account and change the password for your account. If you have an administrator account (even if you don't try putting in Administrator and leave password field blank) try using that account to reset the password, otherwise try one of the following:

- see this for XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305
- or this for Vista/Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/What-to-do-if-you-forget-your-Windows-password
- or if anything else didn't work you can use third party software from Hiren's Boot CD to reset your login password http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download.html

If it's the BIOS password, you can reset it as well. To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link. In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

TIP 1 - Use password reset disk

Windows-based system was designed to be able to create windows password reset disk without any other third party tools. So you can make use of a password reset disk to reset your Windows password in case you lose or forget your Windows password.

TIP 2 - Restore the operating system

Windows password recovery can be performed by restoring the operating system. Since restoration leads to data deletion, the solution can only work if you have a clean and updated backup of your hard drive data stored somewhere else.

TIP 3 - Use Windows Boot disk

The boot CD for Windows can be used to reset the administrator password. This disk enables you to repair Windows OS, thereby, setting your administrator password as blank.

TIP 4 - Use password recovery software

This is considered as the best windows password recovery solution, however, is to download a third party software. These tools enable you to reset Windows administrator password without posing any threat to your hard drive data. Among so many password recovery software, windows Password Recovery 6.0 is an easy-to-employ application which can be used to reset lost or forgotten password of any Windows system. Now execute the following steps to recover your lost windows password if you haven't prepared anything.

Step1: Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Recovery from

http://www.recoverlostpassword.com/products/windowspasswordrecoery.html and install it on that PC.

Note that: there is an .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD/DVD or a USB flash drive

Step2: Get out the newly created CD/USB and insert it to the locked computer.

Step3: re-booted the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old passwords were removed.

My desktop is lock

What do you mean by locked? Do you mean you cannot boot to winodws or do you mean you lost your password to windows or do you mean you have a bios or hard drive password and you cannot boot from that point?
If you mean you forgot your Windows password try booting into safe mode and then using the Administrator account to get into windows and reset the password on your local account this only works if your running xp though. Otherwise if your running Vista or Windows 7 take it to your local repair shop to have them reset your password.
