Go to program,look for tascam folder and adjust channel 1&2 to analog.This should make your music program work fine.And then do research on both analog and digital recording.

1. make sure your incoming signal is not too strong, this is i think the most common reason for clipping.
2. check the settings under audio performance in tascam control panel.. for vista click start> all programs > tascam> control panel> try changing the latency to normal or whatever works best with your system.
I never seem to have this problem anymore since I upgraded my desktop, with my slower system I had this problem all the time, so badly it was impossible to record an entire track.

Currently Tascam does not provide Win 7 drivers. But I am sure they are working on it and will upload them.

Meanwhile, try installing Win Vista drivers. You can find them on this page.

There is no such driver...This product may or may not work with Win 7. But try uninstalling and removing and then reinstalling and replacing.

Tascam may be providing a driver one in 2010.

A lot of the Audio drivers or Tascam and m-audio devices really only work for windows 32 bit reason i tried installing the same stuff for windows 64bit won't work in less u have vista 64bit But regular windows 32 bit works with every program out there. The mac if it did work it should pick up a signal if it worked properly but it sounds like the mac don't read it even with drivers .

This also could be a problem with your device if you had the same problem with it last time. replace it with a new one and try the install again on your computer and see if it works after that.

This is a driver for Windows Vista/XP 32-bit system and I found it on this page:

Try this experiment:  Record a click track on track #1.  Record track #2 of the output of a monitor speaker playing track #1.
Now you have two click tracks which will probably not be cooincident (like they should be).
Measure the offset of the two tracks!  You now know your latency exactly, and can compensate by adjusting settings or moving the vocal track back manually that many milliseconds!

This set-up is very compatible and you should have no trouble at all.
