Type 192.168.0.1 (you can type the router address if you have changed) and enter on browser's addressbar. Router's interface will appear.
Click on SETUP and Click on the WIRELESS SETTINGS at left side. on the page you will see the option of WIRELESS SECURITY by drop down menu you can choose the Security mode that you wish. here is the link for the emulator

Here's what worked for me:

1. Reset router password by holding reset button for around 10 secs, unplug, plug back in
2. Type 192.168.0.1 in browser, login using admin, no password.
3. Follow internet connection setup wizard, this will take you through encription steps.

I need to secure my wireless connection network. I have a iMac computer an a Dlink WBR 1310. How do I configure a Password to prevent intruders from using my connection?

First you will need to find the local IP address of your router. It should look something like "192.168.0.1" You might be able to find it in either your router manual or on the bottom of the router itself.
Then make sure your computer is connected to the router via wireless or ethernet cable.
Next, open your browser and type in the IP address into the address bar. It should take you to a setup page that looks a lot like a website. Find the "wireless security" tab and select a security protocol. I recommend using either WPA or WPA2. Now you can set a password. Finally, there should be "save" button on the page. Click it, then wait for your router to reboot and your network is now secure.

My WBR-1310 keeps losing connection every 10 mins or so. Is there a fix I can download to my router? (like an update or something)

Hi,
I got your issue, since your facing the frequent disconnection in the internet connection,

ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Firmware/wbr1310_firmware_104.bin.

Please download the firmware using this link and log into the router setup page of DLink with 192.168.0.1 and update the firmware

I'm sure this will help you to fix the issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Prema

Unsecured network

  • You need to log into the router setup screen - you do this by connecting a PC to the Router via a cable connection and then using Internet Explorer (IE) you log into the router.
Using the default settings
  • Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter. When the login window appears, set the user name to admin and leave the password box empty. Click OK to continue.
  • Goto the Wireless security section to set the security type and the password
Section 4 of the manual - see below deals with setting the wireless security This is the support site for that router http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=WBR-1310
Click on the Support Resources - that will take you to the manuals for different Version of that model - click on the model you have to get to the online manual

My WBR-1310 doesn't do wireless to my laptop.

theres a couple of version of this router http://www.dlink.com/products/default.aspx?pid=WBR-1310&tab=3 I'm using the manual from here http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310
on a working PC download and install this program http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php this will detect all the wireless signals being broadcast - see if the router is actually broadcasting - if it is detected on your PC then it may be that 1) the firewall is blocking access or 2) the security code is entered wrong - -log into the router and remove the wireless security and see if you can now detect

Have a Dlink wireless router, however I am unable to set up a wireless connection. ssid=unknown, additionally all other data other than p/n, s/n ip:192.168.0.1, pass=ADMIN. I have a wireless laptop, hp...

theres a couple of version of this router http://www.dlink.com/products/default.aspx?pid=WBR-1310&tab=3 I'm using the manual from here http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310
you should be able to loginto the router and setup the wireless - if you are not able to login - you may need to do a factory reset and then login using the default settings and reset up
a useful tool for detecting wireless networks is this http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php you can use this on the PC to see if the wireless is broadcasting, if you can detect it on the PC

I HAVE A DLINK WBR-1310 ROUTER WHERE DOES THE BLUW

Hi!

You can use any UTP cables. Here is how the connection would look like:

DSL -> DLINK WAN PORT
DLINK PORT 1(or any other ports) <---> COMPUTER

If the router is set to give out IP addresses automatically(DHCP), you should be able to connect flawlessly.

Go the router setup page, 192.168.0.1, type admin as the user name and password as the password (default, if you have changed these use your login info).
Then on the wireless page change the SSID (router name).
You can also add a security key on this page.
