I'll give you my best guess since I sold my JA3ES and am doing this from memory. Check your analog connector cables are good, be certain you have the input switch set to analog input.
Be certain you are not setting your inputs for the microphone jacks. If you are getting the error message din unlock the recorder is not getting the signal from the analog source.
It is possible to have damaged analog inputs on a used machine, but you have micorphone jacks and might get adaptor cables to hook your analog inputs in through the microphone jacks. Note this machine is old enough the microphones are 2 mono microphones left and right. If you want to use a modern stereo microphone you need an adaptor cable for that too.
If you try the above be careful as the mike jacks are really for mikes not what I mention, but it is a probable go around if your rear analog jacks are damaged for some reason.
The Read Error message displayed on the Camera when accessing the images which was not recorded correctly. This may also happen when the Memory Stick is corrupted to record or read the files. Please check if the message is displaying when accessing all the images. If it happens with all the images, then it may be an issue with the Camera or the Memory Stick.
To check if the issue is with the Memory Stick, try using a different Memory Stick and check if the message displays. This may also happen when an attempt was made to play back the image or the movie that was not recorded on this camera.
Try to wipe the contact area on the Memory Card with a soft, dry cloth. It may be necessary to format the Memory Card (Format option is available in the Setup 2 Menu of the Camera). If the message still appears, service may be required.
I was using my voice Digital Recorder VN-6200PC. I was recording a my lesson when the screen shows formatting, I immediately took out the battery as not to lose any data, because I was taping and it began to format and I lose the data I was recording. So this time I remove the battery. However when I put back the battery it began to say imput blocked. Please help?
I got this same message on my VN7000PC that I got in LIDL. The message appeared when I tried to record. I could not get it to go away. At the time I just happened to have 5 files in Folder A with lock on. I tried to remove the file locks. I got the same message "Input Blocked". That was a clue. Maybe it had something to do with the internal 1GB drive. I formatted the drive. The message disappeared and now I can record again. HTH Brian.
Copy your audiofiles to computer then format your Olympus unit (worked on my VN-5500PC) After that you can use your unit again no "Input blocked" messages, sorry for my bad English
When this recorder reads 'not connected to camcorder' you are simply accessing the recorder's 'DV' input on the front panel of recorder. This 'DV' input is used with DV Camcorders, thus the message.
Simply hit the 'AUX' button on the remote control to access the recorders other inputs. It will cycle between-TUNER>>AV1>>AV2>>DV.
Depending on what you want to access or view and where they are hooked up to the recorder. The "Tuner" will access either your over the air digital channels or your basic cable channels when hooked up through the 'UHF/VHF' input on the rear panel.AV1 is input 1 on the back of the recorder. AV2 is the input on the front of the recorder. DV allows for a Digital Video Camcorder to be hooked up to recorder using a 'Firewire'.
This error message indicates that the memory card cannot be used to take videos. Change the storage location to internal memory. Use the memory card to store pictures.
