How to open case back for battery replacement

When you replace a battery for your quartz watches, in most cases you need to take it to a watchmaker or someone that is proficient with using the tools needed for this task. In most of the cases one needs to open the case back either by snapping it out of the case or by unscrewing the case back. If the watch is water resistant, it would be a good idea to replace the battery in place where they can check water resistance after placing back the case back. There is a gasket that is the Achilles heel of water resistance. If you go to a place without the proper equipment to check water resistance you may want to go to a place where they can spread some silicon paste on the old gasket and knows how to pay attention when placing back the case back without damaging the gasket.
