My honda eu3000 electric start quit working. I have changed the battery still won't crank. Ifound a fuse behind cover and it good. Is there another fuse somewhere?
Re: My honda eu3000 electric start quit working. I
Hi,
You need to check the ignition plug behind to ensure it is still working fine. You will need a spanner for this and unscrew it anticlockwise.
THanks

Park neutral safety switch maybe be the reason for the no crank ! Try putting the vehicle in park ,then try to crank the engine . Testing the electrical circuit is the best way to trouble shoot this problem , along with do a voltage drop test on the starter circuit ! This will test the battery cables an connections . Starter Voltage Drop How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit
Does it have a manual or automatic transmission ? Manual ? clutch switch . Looking at a wiring diagram I also see a starter cut relay ! http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Free wiring diagrams . Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click engine , under subsystem click starting . Then click the search button , then click the blue link ! Check the starter cut relay also . Videos on youtube showing how to test a relay controlled circuit !
Hi,
Check the starter relay in the battery compartment. Look at the relays terminals and clean it, test it by means of activating the electric starter, a clicking sound should be heard, if not replace the relay. If there is a clicking sound and motor would not run, the starter motor have a problem.
Try Youtube for video repairing of that starter. just type the model and problem of your scooter in their search box.
Hope that helps you out.

I'd definately clean the gas tank out & blow the screen out with air. Replace or install a fuel filter, drain the carb(s) & remove the bowl to clean that. For the starter I'd take it off & clean it & the connections real good & try again. If that doesn't work get a test light & check if it gets power to the solenoid on top when trying to crank. If it lights & doesn't crank, you need a starter.
The EU3000 is a gel-pack (spill-proof) battery. Using a 10mm wrench or socket, remove the four (4) screws that hold the end cover on the machine.
Use a voltage meter and test the battery at rest (no load, not running). You should see 12 or higher volts DC. Record the voltage and then start the unit manually. Turn the ECO throttle "OFF" so the unit revs up to full RPM. You should see 14 or higher volts DC to verify that the charging system is OK.
The conclusion:
If the 12V test shows less than 10VDC, replace battery.
If the 14V test shows less than 12VDC, have a HONDA AUTHORIZED shop diagnose it for you.
