Stpnlok,
Did you follow my post at this link Clutch repair post for your repair ?
I’m a little confused by this description “”there is what seams to be a sealed plastic ring on the top of the stainless drum is there suppose to be liquid in it there is a liquid in there””.
Maybe go to searspartsdirect.com and look at the exploded view and give me a p/n.
“”I had to replace the top bearing on the "drive shaft" it was making alot of noise the cluth assembly seamed ok but still kicks out on spin cycle””
Are you saying you replaced the upper One-Way Roller clutch bearing assembly only? If so that tells me you purchased the whole clutch assembly. I know of no parts supplier that sells the upper One-Way Roller clutch bearing assembly alone. We Are talking about a FAV6800A machine correct? To make sure I’m following here is the clutch parts view.

Here is pic of the same clutch causing dC errors prior to clean up.

Upper One-Way Roller clutch bearing

Is this the part you speak of ""I had to replace the top bearing on the "drive shaft" it was making alot of noise the cluth assembly seamed ok but still kicks out on spin cycle""
If we are talking about a FAV6800A or FAV9800A I can help you.
Let me know....Rich

There seems to be water trapped at the top inner drum due to water inlet pouring miss and filling where it shouldnt

The inner basket has a balance ring that is filled with liquid by design. Suspension parts are most likely causing your problem

Simpson washing machine problem have taken out stainless steel wash bowl and the plastic top/seal around it has water in it is that normal for that to happen

Yes. Some have water & some have sand in that ring. It is a balance ring to stop vibration when bowl spins. Do not empty it.

Is it normal for liquid to be present in the top part of the drum?

Yes I have this type of washer and it has the water in a ring at the top of the drum to help balance it out during spin, not quite sure why but yes it should be there. The gargling sound you describe could also be the balancing hooks that attach the drum to the top of the washer which sometimes make strange noises but there fine.

Maytag atlantis washer doesnt spin on spin cycle, also found plastic shavings in clothes, appear to be coming from the top outer edge of the tub, a white plastic trim piece. wash cycle seems to work fine...

There can be several causes, the drum off balance would cause the shavings during spin cycle , balance could be one of the the balancing mechanism failed and not running could be the balance sensor shutting down the spin cycle. You should start by checking the balance shocks .

My Whirlpool Cabrio is so out of whack that it will not wash a single load without going of balance. I am generally a Mr Fixit, so with the help of some web advice I opened the top and I removed the wash...

yes the balance ring is supposed to be filled with glycol..... these washers cannot runn bulky loades or single articles of clothing.... if the load your running is not coating the drum evenly the all the weight is going to be on one side of the tub which is going to spin vigrously uneven,,,

also cabrio washer top lids are very slanted which means u cant level the washer by using the top of cabinet .... put level on each side use split of cabinet top to bottom of cabinet as your straight edge for placement of level ... theb level front to back and left to right and check other side ... if it checks out level....then take a clear cup fill 3/4 with water and place 2 feet infront of washer and start washer spin cycle if you see any ripples in water in cup while washer is spinning the reinforce floor joist under washer ...

Dirty water runs back into washer, moving drum, you hear it.

What kind of washer. Most washers will have a balance ring in them. This balance ring has liquid sealed inside it. So you will hear water swishing when you move it.Totally normal. If water is indeed running back into the tub, you need to pull your discharge out of the wall. It should only go in about 2 ft max. Any deeper and you can get syphoning. Dave www.washermd.com

Spin Shake ...

yes the water is supposed to be there, thats called the balance ring, some machine use cement others water. you say the washer is unbalanced even when empty, is there an indicator or is the machine itself physically off balance. if there is an indicator the off balance swich might have gone bad or you might need to adjust the leveling legs.

Water in Outer Tub

My washer does this too and I called Maytag and was told it was normal. I don't like that answer, though.
