Acer AL1914 19" LCD Monitor Logo

Colors darkened resolution developed a "texture"

I have the silver Acer Al1914 and it has worked perfectly fro about three years. This morning it was fine but when I rebooted my pc, the monitor came up looking really weird and washed out - it has a "linnen" texture and the darks were really dark. The bottom bar where the start button is, is stripped, not solid blue.
Please help, I'm desperate. I have do much work to do.

Describe your acer monitor al1914 Problem screen not working right. The clarity and the color are dim. Tried to auto reset, but no luck so far. please help!

As far as the clarity concerned, the PC Video setting should be set to the native resolution of this monitor, which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz for best picture.
Try it on another PC also, otherwise you may have to open it up but we need to narrow down the problem first.

Strips of colors of running horizontal on my acer al1914 monitor, what should i do

sounds like the ribbon connection from circuit board to screen is faulty. but double check your graphics card and cable before you send it for repair. this problem is often caused by a burnt out graphics card

When I try to set to 1024 x 768 I get the message "not supported" rolling across the screen. What do I do?

The monitor cannot display that resolution. You'll have to use another resolution (1280*1024 will be est displayed on this monitor)

Monitor Acer Al 1914, no signal

Check your connections to the PC. Make sure that they are nice and secure. If there is a resolution problem setting it should display the boot process and then go blank after starting the operating system.
