I have 60 amp circuit breaker on my electrical a/c heater with a 45 amp fuse. I had the unit for 7 years with no problem. This month the 60 amp circuit breaker keeps tripping when the heater goes off. The 60 amp circuit breaker does not trip all the way. Do you think I have a bad circuit breaker? Shouldn?t the 45 amp fuse blow before the 60 amp breaker trips.

You're unit is a 31/2 ton according to the numbers.Normally, breakers will only be in a half way posistion when tripped. Yes, under most conditions, the fuse will blow before the breaker trips. I have seen this many times, the breaker may be weak, burned, loose wires and so tighten wires, check the condition of the breaker. It sounds like the breaker even though it is 60 amps, is the problem and you should replace it with out hesitating. This will solve you're problem. When you pull the breaker out, look at the metal clips that snap in on the buss bar to see if they have been overheating. And the buss bar its self. You will know. I am sure this will take care of you're problem. Good Luck,

Fuse size for air handler (Carrier 40AQ024300BU)

You should always replace with what was originally installed. The 45 amp fuse protects the unit, the 60 amp breaker protects the wiring by its gauge (thickness) and the unit itself.

Air Conditioner Wire / Breaker Size

#8 wire for a 40 amp breaker is fine for what you have. You could put a 45 in if you wanted to and #8 wire would still be fine.

Is a titan N120 54amp to much load on a 200 amp max circuit?

1) Copy following links:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-household-electricity.html#stress
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-Tankless-electric-water-heater.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html

2) The answer depends on how much load you presently have on the 200 amp service.

3) Installation requires 1 double-pole circuit breaker
54 amps @ 240V = 12960 watts
One site recommends 60 amp breaker and 6 gauge wire.
Contrast national electric code says safe maximum for 60 amp breaker x 80% is 48 amps ... less than 54 amp maximum for N120 tankless
I recommend 70 amp breaker and 4 gauge wire so overheating is never problematic causing heat problems on busbar.

4) Amazon selling site says Warm climate and Incoming water temp above 65 degrees is recommended

I have a F & P Aeron Qantum built-in Oven about 7 years old. It has hardly been used. The top and bottom grills do not come on. The light and air blower does come on. Any ideas?

I am assuming you have an electric unit.......Most likely it is a 220V and is actually 2 110V circuits....there are 2 fuses or circuit breakers that power your unit...replace the fuse or reset the breaker ... what ever applies to you....if the breaker trips or fuse blows again you will need a quilified tech. to assist you further. Please reply.

I have an Electric Furnace rated at 45 Amps/240v. Would a 45 amp breaker suffice for this unit?

Most likely not.Heating equipment circuit breakers have to be calculated at 100% of the load continuous. That would mean the circuit breaker would have to be rated at 45amps continuous. Most breakers are not. Most breakers are rated at 80% of their rating for continuous loads. So if you installed a 60 amp circuit, 80% of 60 = 48 amps. This would fit your requirement. That would be a 60amp breaker, with #6 cu conductors.

What size breaker does the 11kw hayward comfort zone electric spa heater require?

It does make a difference as to input voltage. But usually at 11KW this would be a 220V unit and require a 50 amp breaker. 11,000W divided by 220VAC = 50 amps. 230 or 240V input the same 50 A breaker.

What braker for 240 volts 500 watts 2-1 amps

if you are running a new circuit for this one heater than a simple 2-pole 15 amp breaker will do fine, it is also acceptable to use a 2-pole 20 amp breaker, as long as you are in the united states. since you have such a small unit you can put 7 of these heaters on one 20 amp breaker.

Goodman unit blows 45 amp fuses only in heat mode, worked fine all summer on a/c. It works well for some time then blows them again.

Check the breakers on the unit How many KW--electric heat? Check to see if you have the right wires wired up to the correct breaker cause some units have 40---and ---60 ---amps breakers and your thickest wire could be wired to the 40-amp breakers,, (some 5 KW pullls 19-23 amps respectably some breakers have 7.5 KW heat stips and pulls more and if the wire size can,t cary the amps, then all you have to do is reduce a heat strip.
