Scanning software for LaserJet 3015.

I inherited a LaserJet 3015. It prints OK - just plug and play with XP, but I can't get the scan function to work. When I download the software from HP I can't get past the initial splash screen - any ideas?

.by installing plug and play drivers, is not the whole drivers for all functioning its a communication drivers for pc or laptop to your printer so, you need more drivers like pcl, hostbased drivers for HP laserjet 3015

HP 3015 stopped scanning. It still prints, and goes through motions of scanning, but page is blank

HELLO

First of all,



Isolate to a wall outlet and not a strip.

Remove the cartridges.

Remove the power plug and then reconnect.

Reinstal the cartridges.

Try to do a copy direct from the unit.

NEXT


Print a self test page and check for Yellow or Magenta to rule out a partially empty cartridge.


  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.
  2. Touch the ATM button (c01671671.gif ) next to the Setup icon (c01629002.gif ) in the lower-left corner of the control panel.
  3. Touch the right arrow button (c01185072.jpg ) to select Tools , and then touch OK .
  4. Touch the right arrow button (c01185072.jpg ) to select Printer Status Report , and then touch OK .

The fax scanning unit/encoder is dirty.

The fax scanning unit is like a camera. It take a picture of the document.

The glass plate is dirty and you may purchase a FAX CLEANING SHEET.

or similar product to clean out the dirty area.

The dark strip is cause by semi-dry wipe out correction ink.

I have an HP LaserJet 3015. I got a new computer

- uninstall everything again
- browse your disc
- open "Setup" folder
- copy "Scrubber.exe" and "scrubber.ini" to your desktop
- run "Scrubber.exe"
- restart PC
- reinstall software
- enjoy

- p.s. this will not work under windows 7

I get an error message when I scan. It says Error

ISSUE: The error Waiting for PC is displayed on the control panel when scanning, using the Start Scanbutton on the control panel. The user will also notice a Not Setup on PC error when pressing theScan to … button. Note that scan from the PC works properly without an error. SOLUTION: The probable causes for this issue are listed below:
  • Firewall denying access to PC
  • Device polling not enabled
  • The scan to function is not enabled in the HP Toolbox
  • The destination has not been added to the Scan to button from HP toolbox
  • The HP Toolbox is losing the scan to destination
How to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. PC protection software such as firewall software may prohibit proper communication between HP AiO products and Toolbox and scanning software. Firewalls may need to be reconfigured to allow Toolbox to communicate with the AiO. The Toolbox software is similar to Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer in this way. Temporarily disabling firewall software may be helpful in determining if it needs to be reconfigured for Toolbox to operate properly. Please contact your third party firewall software vendor if assistance is needed to reconfigure the firewall. The following third party support Web sites may be useful:
  2. When Device Polling is turned off, the Alerts and the Scan to e-mail or folder options in the HP Toolbox are disabled, and the START SCAN function on the HP LaserJet AiO product control panel is also turned off. CLICK HERE for instructions on how to turn on Device polling.
  3. To program the device SCAN TO ... button, view the device settings. Open the HP Toolbox and click the Scan to tab. For more information, CLICK HERE to view the document titled HP Color LaserJet 2840 AiO Series Products - How to use "Scan To E-mail" or "Scan to Folder" from the Device
  4. The User loses the folder when choosing to save scanned files under the Scan to Folderoption of the Scan to Tab. The User also may lose the email settings under the Scan to Emailoption of the Scan to Tab. The User restarts the toolbox and it works for some time and the problem repeats again. Perform the following in the order listed to resolve this issue:
    1. Run the Fix Scan Utility and see if it resolves the problem. Click here for the Fix Scan Utility at http://www.hp.com If not, proceed to the next step.
    2. Check the firmware version and make sure that it is up to date. print a configuration page to see what the current firmware version is. exists special function in driver of the printer which quantifies pages of the document on one signet sheet. Sounds like "Multiple printing" you can manipulate or disactivate this function.

Hp 3015 laserjet scanning in vista

Buy something other than HP which doesn't seem to support anything longer than a year. You bought a cheapo machine, disposable after it breaks which it will about the time warranty runs out.

Streaking

Check the scanning glass bar. If you scanned something that had whiteout on it, a lot of times some of the whiteout will get on the glass and will cause streaks in the prints. Clean it with alcohol.
