I have a 2005 52 inch Mitsu turn it on and it goes to red light

Usually that means the lamp is bad. If the lamp is new, then try re-seating the cage/housing. If its more than 3 years old, then I would buy a new lamp. www.projectorlamps.com

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and contact your dealer

And also this:

Check that the lens cap is removed.
It may take about one minute for the lamp to light up.
The lamp fails to light up on rare occasions. In such a case, wait for a few minutes
and then try again.
If the projector was turned off before the lamp was cooled down suf? ciently last time,
the fan may start rotating and the POWER button may not work after the power cord
is plugged. After the fan stops rotating, press the POWER button to turn back on the
POWER indicator.
Check that the intake vent is clean.
Set SCART INPUT in the FEATURE menu to OFF. (See page 25.)
Check that the lamp cover is closed. (See page 33.)
Check that the cables connected to the external devices are not broken.
When an extension cable is being used, replace it with the supplied cable for check. When
images are displayed correctly, add an RGB signal ampli? er to the extension cable.
Check the operation manual of the video device for its connection.

Pull the lamp out and then back in again. That model mitsu can be very hard getting the lamp in just right. It sounds like it is not getting plugged into the ballast all the way. And make sure you put the door back on, because it has a safety switch that will trigger a bad lamp light as well.

sounds like the caps on the power board have failed. You can get the V26 DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the instructions.

Thats usually caused by failed capacitors on the power board. The V26 power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com should repair that issue. The kit comes with the instructions on Cd.

check the current maybe high voltage occur or due to loose connection high amper occur.

Red Lamp light shows that TV requires New Lamp.
Please always buy original Sony lamp for smooth run of TV.

if the lamp light still remains solid red its most likely needing the capacitors on the power pwb replaced very common problem with the V26 Chassis DLP. You can get the V26 power pwb repair kit at the following link which contains the replacement capacitors and step by step instructions on how to do the repair.
