My USB mini U3 memorx 2GB does'nt accept my pictures but it did long last time i used.what it could be?

To unlock a u3 USB drive, you need to follow the following steps. Before proceeding be sure that you backup the thumbdrive just in case, and also don't have any programs using the flashdrive (including any instances of Windows Explorer).

1. Run the launchpad program from the USB drive
2. Double click on the icon to open up the main windows.
3. Click on "settings" and the U3 Launchpad Settings.
4. click on the uninstall tab on the side and then Uninstall U3 launchpad.

This will get the drive back, but you WILL lose the data. If you need the data. I do not know the answer. Repost your question to go to Sandisk site below

If this is the U3 SanDisk Cruzer....U3 drives present themselves as two devices. One of them appears as a read-only CD drive that contains all the **** programs and the other is the writeable USB stick part. It comes with two partitions on it, one for data, and the other called "U3 Partition" which is read-only.

well U3 system software is pre-loaded to USB devices by the manufacturer and requires special flash drive controller line and thus it is not possible to install u3 by user.

If you locked the drive on the U3 Task bar or menu, form the instant you want to go and use a password for U3, there's a message that state the drive once locked there's no turning point. I have 2GB U3 and go to set-up a password and this is the warning. Sorry!!!

If you have a U3 drive and it is the U3 software you lost then there is nothing you can do to write the U3 software back to the drive. If you would like to simply recover use of it as a storage device without the U3 software then try formatting the drive. If Windows doesn't format it successfully then search for HP Format on the Internet and try using that to format the drive.

Download the U3 installer from www.u3.com. It should solve the problem. Good Luck.

Because it formats the device, if the restore option didn't work then it sounds like bad news. I would recommend searching your pc for the images just in case the U3 uninstaller cached them somewhere during the process.

I would use the access capability and take what you need off the drive. Using your disk utility application, reformat the drive and attempt to transfer. Hope this works.
