How can I change the resolution from 1280 x 800? This is the highest possible according to the display setttings. I have removed the generic pNp monitor. I am running Vista Business. The display adapter is the mobile Intel(R) 4 series Express Chipset Family. The driver date is 12/06/2008. Driver version 7.15.10.1502. I am getting no reply from Acer support. Increase resolution

The poster resolution and the computer resolution are completely separate. The cpt resolution controls the monitor screen display. The poster resolution refers to the camera pixels used in recording the original picture - it cannot be increased. The poster program is measuring the resolution of the file picture only and indicating that t will produce a blurry poster.

300 dpi image change

Yes you can. But 300 dpi is nothing. You could compare this to a question like, fits a yard in a football field.
When talking about 300 dpi, you also must know how big a picture has to be.
According to the manual, your camera can shoot pictures with 4288 by 3216 pixels. When you want to print 300 dpi that is 14 inch by 12 inch pictures. If you want to shoot pictures for smaller results like 6 inch by 4 inch or 7 inch by 5, you can chose a smaller resolution.
Don't be confused by the technical terms of 300 dpi. This is only used in the printing industry. I already printed till 4 times the resolution that was theoretical possible, and still the pictures look very good.
If you have a great picture, shot in the highest resolution, you should be able to make a print of more that 5 or 6 feet and still have a great picture

Desktop screen went big and will not go back to original settings

There are two possibilities.

1) The resolution has been changed. To fix that do the following.
Instructions are for Win7

Click on "Start" on the bottom left corner.
Control Panel
Under "Appearance and Personalization" select "Adjust screen resolution"
On "Resolution" set the resolution to the highest possible number and see if that works for you. If not keep going down till it is the size you prefer

2) You need to update your video card drivers.
The solution for this is to update your drivers from the video card or desktop manfucturers website.

Change the display resolution in Windows To change the display resolution to the highest resolution, use the following actions.

My monitor is stuck on safe mode

It's possible that your computer is not booting to safe mode. Possibly the video settings are not set correctly or the driver is not properly installed in your computer. You can try to change the video settings of your computer by:

1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel (Switch to "Classic view" if not in classic view)
3. Click on "Display"
4. Change the "Colors" to the highest
5. Drag the slider to the highest resolution

If you are not able to change the video settings, you can just update the video driver of your computer.

Screen resolution changes to 800x600 after exiting a game

It sounds like you are playing an old game that cannot be run in the highest resolution your system could run in, therefore the game adjusts the screen resolution. To revert to your highest setting right click a blank area of the desktop, click personalize --- display settings -- and drag the resolution slider to the far right, as far as it can go. Of course when you start the game windows alert you that it is changing the resolution, you may click no to the change, but your game would be blurred. its one or the other. Choose!

How can i change the resolution from low to high?

Change shooting mode dial to the shooting mode you want to use.
> then press Func. button
> Menu will appear.
>use the Scrool up down key to select menu item.
>go to the last item and select L and Fine.
After selecting you can press Func. button again.

This will select the highest resolution possible on this camera...

Photo resolution

Sony H1 takes photos at 72 dpi by default. But the picture quality will be good. if you want to convert it to 300dpi open the picture in adobe Photoshop and select image size and change resolution to 300 dpi. but the file size will be very high to up load. if you want to reduce the file size select the image size in adobe photoshop and reduce it according to your requirement. if my solution proves good please rate it. Graphics Unable to use the native resolution, such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and 1440x900 How can I change the resolution from 1280 x 800. - circuit388.gif Symptom(s):
On some displays, users may be unable to use the native resolution when using Intel® chipset graphics. Resolutions such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900 are not available in graphics properties.

Cause:
The display's EDID is not read properly when connected to some digital flat panel displays. Display devices describe its capabilities by sending EDID (Extended Display Information Data) to the computer.

Solution:
Intel has released a graphics driver to specifically address this issue; however, there may be side effects to this solution such as longer than normal resume times from standby. This solution will only work with external displays such as DFP displays connected to the computer's VGA port. This driver is not designed to address issues with a notebook's built-in display (Local Flat Panel) or with TV’s connected to the system. This driver is provided as is. Intel has not tested, and does not guarantee, the operation of the driver for this purpose.
