Hold down the "Adjust" button (top left) for three seconds. It won't adjust unless you hold the button down.

Press "Mode" (bottom left) to change what you're adjusting, seconds, hour, minute.

Press the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the number up and down.

Press "Adjust" again when you're done setting the watch.

To change date, alarm, alternate time, etc, press "Mode" to get to those functions before hitting "Adjust."

I hope that helps.

The manual can be found at Casio's site: http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw1950.pdf

To turn off all sounds: Open the watch and remove the tiny spring that connect to the speaker on the back panel. Better keep it if you want beeps back later :)

I tried many options and finally thought to reference the online CASIO watch manual site for detailed instructions (free) and it was very clear what to do.

I've changed my battery on my casio g-shock dw 003 but the illuminator no longer works! why?

Did the same with my DW-003 and thought I'd broken the Illuminator (and the alarm didn't work). Next battery change was via a shop and the illuminator worked again (as did the alarm). This was just a battery cahnge, rather than a repair job - One of those things, I guess

Casio Illuminator

I used the online CASIO web site to locate the appropriate manual and followed directions. Use the bottom left (C) button of the watch to keep pressing between the various modes until I was in the ALARM Mode. Then PRESS the upper right (B) button to toggle the DAILY ALARM and HOURLY CHIME to "OFF", "DAILY", "HOURLY" and "BOTH" on/off.

Casio illuminator, w-94h

There is a tiny spring that must make contact with the back cover plate when you screw it back on. If the spring is missing, the piezoelectric buzzer will not work. The tiny spring is located toward the upper right in this photo of a Casio W-94H watch, directly underneath the "C" in CASIO that is etched in the metal. Note that the word CASIO is upside down in the picture, so if you can't see the picture for some reason, the hole for the tiny spring would be directly above the "C" in CASIO.
