Vibration on Logitech Wireless Xbox (not 360) Controller

Gentlemen,

I can't seem to get the vibration to work on my controller. It's the one with the small black vibration button on the left upper center of the controller. I have no instructions.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob

Xbox 360 Controller will not vibrate

so tell the ppl that u don't like what what the CONTROLLERS and u want new ones ARE U GOING TO SEE THEM IN PERSON
tip

Get wireless Xbox 360 controllers to stop disconnecting

By disabling the vibration on the controller, you can keep the batteries in place and the controllers will disconnect less often. If you want to keep the vibration feature on, then use some tape to secure the batteries in place before you put the cover on.

X box controller keeps turning itself off - I have put new batteries in

Connection problems might be caused by one or more of the following factors:
  • Weak batteries or a weak Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack
  • Interference from another wireless device, such as a microwave oven, a cordless phone, or a wireless router
  • Metallic objects positioned between the console and the wireless controller, such as a chrome faceplate or metal dividers, shelves, or doors on an entertainment center cabinet

Note All licensed Xbox 360 console faceplates are tested for interference, and do not interfere with licensed wireless devices.
  • There are already four controllers connected to the console.

If your controller is still not working, try the next solution. uparrow.gifBack to the top Solution 2: Replace the batteries or the Rechargeable Battery PackInsert fresh AA batteries, or attach a fully charged Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack to your controller. If you have an Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack
  • Remove the battery pack and reattach it to your controller, making sure that it is attached correctly.
  • Press and hold the Xbox Guide button. In the upper-left area of the Xbox Guide button, the battery meter indicates your current level of battery strength. You might need to recharge the battery pack, if the level is low.

If you have an Xbox 360 Play & Charge kit
  • Make sure that the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack is correctly connected to your controller and plugged into one of your console's USB ports. If you check both of those things but are still having the problem, try the suggestion below.
  • Plug the charge cable into each USB port on your console, one by one. There are two USB ports on the front of the console and one on the back. If the controller works in one USB port but not another, try another accessory in the USB port that did not work with the controller. If the USB port does not work with any accessory, your Xbox 360 console might need to be repaired.
  • Turn off vibration feedback (rumbling) on the controller. If you play games with feedback while charging, it takes longer for the controller to charge and might drain the battery pack faster than it can recharge. Here's how to turn vibration off.
    1. Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller.
    2. Go to the Settings area, and then select Preferences.
    3. Select Vibration.
    4. Select Enable Vibration to clear the checkbox.
If your controller is still not working, try the next solution. uparrow.gifBack to the top Solution 3: Remove objects between the controller and the consoleThe controller works within 33 feet (10 meters) of your console. However, objects placed between the controller and the console might reduce this range. In addition, objects that use wireless technology (for example, a cordless phone) can interfere with your wireless controller. Remove or relocate objects or wireless devices that might interfere with the wireless controller or console. Here are some things that can cause problems:
  • Microwave ovens
  • Cordless phones
  • Wireless routers
  • Chrome faceplates
  • Metal dividers
  • Shelves
  • Doors on an entertainment center cabinet

If your controller is still not working, try the next solution. uparrow.gifBack to the top Solution 4: Disconnect all controllers and headsetsIf all four rings surrounding the power button on the console are green but the controller has four flashing green lights, four controllers might already be connected to the console. Disconnect all of the controllers, and then try to connect the controller with the problem.
  • To disconnect a wireless controller, press and hold the Xbox Guide button for three seconds, and then turn the controller off.
  • To disconnect a wireless headset, turn the headset off.
  • To disconnect a wired controller or headset, unplug its cable from the console.

The vibrators in the controller will not work what do i do

Turn the vibration on by going to the guide button menu then my preferences then turn on vibration. Examine them and see if they are unplugged on the PCB, change in game settings to see if they work then. Worst scenario is they are burnt out, then you can replace them with another controllers rumble motors (even PS2 and Gamecube and orignal xbox)

Turn the vibration off in the options menu of a game that allows it, if the game play is fine then you may have to ask Santa for a new controller, as that one sounds like it is starting to fail.

X-box 360 controller will not switch on

Sometimes you have to beware of unknown batteries, because some companies that make the batteries are fake... However, look below for some of my FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. My battery pack won't does not work, and/or it will not turn on...

First, make sure that you have the right batteries that are known like Duracell. Next, DO NOT plug in the charger into your controller when you have AA batteries in your battery pack. Then, make sure that you press and hold the sync button of your Xbox 360 console, and your controller.

2. My wireless controller automatically turns off during gameplay...

First, make sure that you turn off the vibration of your controller, because the vibration takes away your controller's energy, and the lease power your controller will have. Next, please read the Frequently Asked Questions guide for wireless controllers, because there are some important steps about the wireless controllers. They usually have the problem with charging and changing AA batteries.

Xbox 360 wireless control conects then disconnects randomly

The solution is VERY simple.

There is nothing wrong with your controller OR your xbox.

The battery indicator found when pressing your xbox logo button is temperamental. It might say 2 bars, or 3 or even full battery but this is not a good indicator of a full battery.

The problem IS low batteries - when the batteries become low the vibration function can cause the controller to disconnect. This is happens because the vibration function uses extra battery power.

So basically... Every time your controller vibrates, it disconnects. This occurs when firing a weapon in most games, grenades in COD, landing heavy tricks in Skate 2, the list goes on, you'll find many complaints from people stating their controller disconnects specifically with these events.

The simple solution, turn off the vibration function when this occurs. It'll never happen to you again ^_^

Thumbs this up when it proves correct for you. People will find the solution quicker that way.

XBOX 360 CONTROLLER

I think it's known as vibration not vibrator, anyway... Depends on which game you are playing, there should be an option to turn off vibration from within the games menu, usually under 'options'
