1997 Town Car Presidential is stained and dirty

It is located on the FUSE PANEL. As I recall, it is a cube-shaped module.

From a wrecking yard is about the only place unless the Ford dealer can supply it, call them first..

If you do not have the white plastic card that
came with the car when new with the factory code

You have to go to the dealer to get the factory code,
then you can change it,to what you want,if you have
an owners manual to follow or ask the dealer to write
it down for you

The Town Car Executive series is the bottom line of the Town Cars.
It has the fittings to put a CD Player in...but most did not have them (unless specially ordered)

The next series up...is the Signature Series and has a 50 / 50 chance of having a CD player.
After that, the Presidential Series (special ordered series had the players)
Then top of the line Lincoln Town Car is the Cartier...with all the bells & whistles...and CD Player.

If ya have one...its in the trunk usually on the drivers side just below the "air ride" switch.

Does it do it without moving the car? Could be water splash in the wheel well through a sealer skip in a seam.

Facing up hill or down hill or both?

Lift up seat cushion and lift carpet and follow water stain path to source.

Lincoln town cars are famous for this because the rear opening to the hood has been placed right over your distributor so; the rainwater just soaks your distributor. to fix this permanently get a piece of oil roofing paper cut it about 6' wide and glue it over the gap from under the hood this will keep your distributor dry

what i would do is call around and ask if they show a town car with a moon roof and that way you can look at it and if it a self serve yard you can take the part out you need and at the same time learn how to repair your.

Do you have A/C on when it makes this noise ? Idle air control valve or air passage dirty .
