Can't change volume -stuck at one level.
Only remote control button that works is power.
Volume, Channel, buttons on actual TV don't work.
All of this occured at the same time. Any ideas how to re-set/ troubleshoot?
I think you are right, now I am really at a loss. Have you found a cure, one guy suggested changing the power supply board worked, but it cost him $250.I think you are right, now I am really at a loss. Try to unplug set and whatever is being used for signal from power, if set returns to normal operation you may have to delete that channel from the set memory.
Cable or Sat boxes can cause this issue by confusing the micro processor in the set.
the stations are changing by itself on your TV because the channel button on
the TV is partially stuck in, that is why it keeps changing all by itself.
This same thing may also happen to the remote control of the TV if the channel button of the remote stuck in and pointed at the TV.
Use your finger to rub the buttons on the TV, especially the
volume control button. Do same on the remote and most definitely
problem should be solved.
Please give me a feedback if solution does not work for you.
have Aiwa TV MODEL No. TV-A209 The problem that I am suddenly facing is that I can't change channels or volume or use any other function. I can't even turn it off with remote control.
Its stuck randomly on a particular channel that I was watching at that point of time.
Along with that channel it now shows a message in flashing red color that reads :- AGING O6895H
Now when I press ''Display'' button on remote control volume goes off and this code is shown :- S123 K234 Y 000 001 1
The numbers in the second line can be navigated by ''CH+'' button and changed between 0 and 1 by ''Vol+'' button.
I really don't know anything about this. So, please help me out of this problem.
brendee89,
I did not get who the manufacture was of the tv but you may want to see if one or more of
the menue buttons are stuck down on the tv's front panel. This has been a common cause of
problems with Mitsubishi and Sony tv's. It could also cause volume to go up by it's self, no menue
functions, no power up and or no remote control functions to work.
Hope this helps,
Skyman
It could be a stuck button on the set. check to make sure they all feel the same.. If one don't feel right try to free it .. If a button is stuck it wont let any of the others work or the remote.
good day
due to the long time the buttons were not used, they tend to get stuck and this causes channels eighter to stay in one station or continou scanning. it could be resolved by spraying WD40 on the buttons and press it many times then dry it before operating the unit.
Well there is still a problem with the TV. I found that by unplugging the power cable that the digital channels worked. But, when I turned the TV on today the problem had returned, I had to take out the power cable again!
I just used the following instructions from this site on my 'totally dead' Ilo remote and it worked like a charm! I did step 2 twice on each key and put the batteries back in and it worked great! Hope this helps you too.
"Dead" Remotes Can Be Saved
How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control
This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.
If it works, Great!
If not, it's time to call 1-800-Remotes or use this website to order a new remote.
