I have a new ESTR 200 that has been in a closet for a couple of years. Very little seems to function well. The presets will not hold if I turn the system off or if I turn to another function. Record player will not function when plugged into EXT except full volume. The remote does not function at all, even with a new battery. The manual is terrible as it does not tell me if I am expecting this unit do things it does not do. Most exerperating thing I have ever worked with. I have had receivers for 40 years.

I assume we're talking about the Element ESTR200...

A turntable will not work with this receiver unless the TT is already preamplified. No Phono Preamp in this unit.

Presets:

From the manual...

Store a station
1. Press the FM/AM button on the front panel (or
the AM/FM button on the remote).
2. Select the station you want to store in memory
by the methods described above.
3. Press the MEMORY button on the remote
While "MEMORY" is glittering, press number
buttons on the remote for the station.

If the Memory indicator on the display turns off before you preset the station selection, Press Memory again.

Manual preset
1. Select the band wave by pressing FM/AM
repeat.
2. Turn to a radio station(see "Manual tuning" on
page 8 in details).
3. Select a group (A- D) of preset stations. This
group will be displayed on the front panel.
For example: "A".
4. Press MEMORY on the remote control.
"MEMORY"will appear on the display.
5. While the word "MEM" appears, input your desired preset number (1-8 ) by using the numeric keys on the remote control to store the radio station. For example this number is "1", the station is stored as "A1".
NOTE:
A new setting can cover the former one.
This memory is kept before next reset.

Retrieving preset stations
1. Press FM/AM button on the front panel or the
remote control to select tuner mode.

2. Press A/B/C/D button on the front panel or the
remote control to select the group of preset stations that you require.
3. Press the numeric keys on the remote control to select the number of preset station that you require. Station selected is displayed on the front panel.
4. By the same way, you can select other stored
stations.
---

The remote control does not operate the unit.
-Another function is selected on the remote.
Press the correct function button.
-No batteries installed. Install the batteries before
using the remote.
Be sure "+" and "-" marks of each battery match the symbol on the inside of the remote battery compartment.
-The batteries are exhausted. Replace all batteries.
-The remote is not pointed at the remote control sensor on the main unit or there is an obstacle between the remote and the main unit.
-The remote control is too far away from the main
unit, move closer.

We have had a 59422 side by side model for just over a year. The water filtration indicator light turned red a couple of days ago. We removed the filter to get the model number and then returned the same...

I dont believe that one event is connected to the other. Sorry to say, but the defrosted freezer is a separate mechanical function. The water filter is not electrical and the red light that comes on, does so by a timer. Once you installed the new filter you must reset the timer for the light to go out. The preset timer then starts counting down. The freezer could be a couple things such as a compressor gone bad, a bad seal around the door (not likely) and maybe the defroster PC Board has the defroster heater stuck in the on position. A local service tech would be best to narrow down the solution.

Hi, those function as little spring clips to hold your pan in. There is no twisting of the pan with your new machine. Just pull straight up with a little "pop" (use both hands and just pop up on the handle) and your pan will pop out. When you bake your first loaf just push the pan straight down until the pan clicks back into place under the little clips and you are ready to bake!

Line six guitar amplifire...controls

Hi! I have a Spider III 15 watter, but I think the functions are similar. If the "Tap Tempo" light is flashing, you are not in Reverb mode. The light must be lit steady if you are in "Reverb" mode. I notice that you have to rotate the knob that you're working with all the way counterclockwise, and then clockwise to the setting you're trying to get. If you just turn it clockwise from where it is when you power on, it doesn't seem to do much to change the settings. Also, very little movement of the knobs makes a big change. They seem to be very sensitive.
You may want to reset your amp to the factory default settings. This will clear ALL presets that you have saved! To do this, hold down the CLEAN channel button when you power it on. Again, ALL SAVED PRESETS WILL BE CLEARED! Hope this helps.
The Line 6 forums are a great place for info. They will even tell you about "Secret Settings" that are not in the manual. Good luck and rock on!

Same problem

If the frequency shifted you would have no more remote function, sounds like interference, since the rcvr " working" light stays on, its "picking" something up. try relocating the rcvr. also maybe another remote can confirm your suspicions. good luck Julio [email protected]

Saturn SL1 Shifter to Shiftstick

I had the same problem over a year and a half ago. I went to the closest Saturn dealership to get the replacement plastic piece. Turned out that the ENTIRE shift cable assembly was the smallest part that could be purchased to repair this. The cable assembly was over $200 at that time. I opted to forgo the ridiculous expense for this tiny little plastic part. True story: with a little heavy safety wire and a large washer I jury rigged the washer to hold the end of the shift cable in the fitting at the bottom of the shift stick. The washer acts as a keeper and the wire, wrapped in a basket around the back side keeps everything together. It still shifts reliably, a little looser than when it was new, but I saved $200 in parts (99% of which weren't broken) and probably a couple of hours of labor at least. One end of the cable assembly has to be attached to the transmission by the way and is not easily accessible. Sounds hokey but it really worked, still works!

Flashing lights instead of shutting off

14 years does seem like a reasonable life span for a dimmer. My suggestion is to turn the circuit off, take the dimmer out, wire nut the two wires together, turn the circuit on. If the light comes on normally get yourself a new dimmer ($10). Make sure to turn the circuit back off before installing the new dimmer.

Pioneer Super Tuner III DEH-45DH

I just bought a Ranger with the same problem... been surfing the internet and these are some of the answers.. I haven't tried any of them but I hope this helps:

<b>
Try pressing and holding the CLOCK button
while pressing the first
FM Preset button to change the hours
and the second FM Preset for the minutes!

We hope this helps!

turn the system off. Now hold down the function or audio button. It should light up the display with the time blinking. use the tuning and/or volume button to adjust hr/min, The rest is straightforward....

I just had to set mine and yes you turn the power off. Then you hold in the "F" button (just below "eject")" for 2-3 seconds. The time will display and the hour will blink. Use the up down arrows to change the hour then use the right arrow to switch to the minutes and again use the up or down arrows to change the minutes

Turn system on with only clock showing Press and hold "A" audio button till hour starts blinking the rest is easy too work out
