You will always have some water (up to a litre) left in the pump of any washing machine once the cycle has finished. On some of the Bosch models there is a short black hose next to the filter which will allow you to drain off this excess water in to a shallow baking tray before opening the filter. I there is no hose then usually you can drain straight into a shallow tray
This seems to be a fault with the program controller unit or the water level sensor. The program does not advance further after the inlet is filled but operates the drain to exit water. Now the water level sensor must be checked as if this is not working in the stipulated time it will drain out. Also unless the water level sensor contacts on reaching of set level the motor must start.http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1401/how-to-replace-the-bearings-on-a-washing-mach.html

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but with such a fault it is extremely difficult for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid as primary suspects. Secondary suspects could be main motor, drain motor.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.
Sorry again and good luck,
John C

suspect you have filter blocked or a foreign object in pump.
put drain hose as low as possible in a bowl and drain as much water as you can
undo filter but be carefull, water will come out in considerable quantities.
clean filter
check nothing stuck in pump impellor
clean the detergent tray especially the part for the conditioner. on some bosch the rinse water valve is seperate uie different valve for water for main wsash. check valve is not open circuit resistance should be about 3.8k. could also be due to low water pressure
I have the same problem too
