I have a Lennox G40UH furnace. The burners fail to ignite about every 5th time. The furnace will try to ignite the burners then shut down. Once in a while the temp will drop down to 62 then fire up. I have only gotten a Diagnostic code once "Watchguard - burners fail to ignite" once I shut the power down and it started.
The furnace is clean, 5 years old, the flue is not clogged.

Sounds like a dirty flame sensor.
Also 9 degrees is a large swing to recover. Most specialist will advise no more than a 5 degree set back, otherwise recovery time eliminates any savings you may achieve.

Having problem with lennox furnace Model ML193DF090P48C-02.Furnace has been working but now and getting worse furnace will kick on 20 seconds or so but nothing.Igniter does not come on.When it finally

Usually when your flame sensor gets dirty, the igniter and burner come on for approx.15 seconds, then shuts down. After 3 tries it will lock the furnace out. You have to shut the power off to the furnace then turn it back on to reset it. You need to turn all the power off to the furnace and remove the flame sensor, clean it with some very fine steel wool and put it back in. Be careful not to handle the Sensor (metal) part with your fingers. Turn the power on and set your thermostat so that it will call for Heat. That should fix, it if not you may need a new flame sensor.

Lennox intermitent flame problem

Yes the flame sensor is not allowing the ignitor to start, you will need to remove the flame sensor, and clean the black carbon build up from the stem of the flame sensor, replace the flame sensor and turn the furnance back on, this will correct the problem.

Furnace blower never blows.

it sounds more like the flame sensor ( a metal rod that is by the burners with a wire going to it and it has a ceramic base). you can try cleaning the rod and if that doesnt work they are not to expensive.

Lennox Gas Furnace that turns on and shuts off in minutes

After troubleshooting like mad, I found that the flame sensor (rod that sits within the flame) was fouled with carbon on the surface. I believe this shields the rod from proper heat detection and the sensor reports that there is no flame and to shut off the gas valve to avoid explosion. Once I pulled out the rod and cleaned it with a wire brush, I have no problem whatsoever--fixed.
