Wireless capability won't turn on

Make sure you Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the F2 key.

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Some laptops might have a wireless button instead of a wireless switch located above the keyboard or on the front or sides.

How to turn on wireless capability vpcl137fx

Have you looked on both sides of your computer and at the front for a Wireless Switch that has to be turned on? Once the switch is turned on, normally a set of keystrokes can toggle the wireless on and off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the correct F1 through F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key will normally have the wireless icon )))) or it will have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal )))) around it. Also when you toggle the wireless by keystrokes the screen displays Wireless On or Wireless Off.

Look on both sides and in the front of the laptop for a switch or button that controls the wireless.

No wireless capability

If your model does not have wireless capability, even if you had a switch on the machine, if there is no internal wireless card you can't make this wireless. My suggestion would be to purchase a PCMCIA or USB wireless card that you can load to your system to make this wireless capable.

Can't turn on my wirless capability on HP Notebook

You didn't post the model number of your laptop but you may want to try FN+F2.

Usually the toggle switch for the wireless is on the front right hand side of the machine and has a light to tell you whether it's enabled.

What combination of keys will switch on my wireless capability?

When it says to press the FN key and the F2 key it means that there is a particular key with the letters FN on it, press this key and the F2 key at the same time to turn on and off the wireless. ITS NOT THE F AND THE N KEY , ITS THE FN KEY.
