Is there an on-line manual for the Xerox Phaser 5660 PS machine? We cannot figure out how to scan - it only scans to a Public Folder whatever that is. How do I get it to scan to the computer?

It's a scan from PC error. Most common problem is that the destination folder for scan does not exist. Does it give that error on just a plain text document as well? It could be the document type and settings. Hardware wise could also be a main board issue.

Print the received documents.
Delete or transmit in immediate mode the documents waiting to be transmitted.

Also if you are running Windows, you can scan with Windows Fax and Scan, which can be found in your Start Menu.

and have you installed paperport v11

Primero , apaga el sistema y desconecta la energia
Luego hay que desconectar la bateria interna que esta debajo del panel por un momento , conectas la energia sin conectar la bateria , si todo esta bien vuelves a conectar la bateria y ya no te dara mas problemas.

There are some small spots on the "seal" glass. It is the 3/4 inch wide strip under the scanner, not the main glass. Clean that strip well, I suggest taking some rubbing alcohol and just a regular piece of paper, crumpled up. Use that to clean that strip vigorously.

Nope. Your best bet is to either use a PC as your receiving fax or get a machine that has fax forward to email capability.

With the 8560, you can just train all your users to grab incoming faxes and immediately scan them to a folder on the network. You probably don't want to scan them to the memory of the machine but you could do that as well and they would be available through the web interface.

Also make sure you have the machine plugged directly into the wall outlet...some surge protectors or multi-outlet strips won't allow sufficient power to properly boot up and run the machine !

It seems somehow your address was deleted. Recreate the box on the machine and it should be ok.
