Sharp Notevision XG-C50X Multimedia Projector Logo
Posted on Dec 04, 2009

I use the notevision xg-c50x with my classroom smartboard. The replace bulb indicator came on when starting then went out. The projector started shuting off. I replaced the bulb but it will not come on. When you start it the green light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off.

There is a large green spot on the screen. Really noticeable when on a dark screen.

either the Green LCD Panel is shot, and/or the Green Polarizer Glass. unfortunately the only way to fix it is to replaced the whole Prism assembly.

SHARP NOTEVISION XG-C50X LCD PROJECTOR: Does this work for laptop presentations as well as DVD projections

Hi there, Sharp makes light and compact projectors with low fan noise. Set the projector up in areas subject to minimal humidity and dust to avoid having to clean the lens too often. Remember that colors will get washed out if the screen is in direct sunlight. Learn a few troubleshooting techniques to get the most out of this work horse projector.

No Pictures, Sound or the Projector Fails to Start
  • If you have no pictures, sound or the projector fails to start, check that the power cord is plugged into the wall and that all the cables are connected to the rear panel. Make sure the remote control batteries are fresh. If you are using a notebook computer, make sure the screen output is correct. Check the Input Mode on the projector. Check the projector physically--is the lamp and cover in place? Check the key lock.

    Changing settings

    Hi cajun51man

If you go into the User Menu of the Projector look for a subfolder that reads either Flip Image or Mirror.

Scroll down to it and scroll left or right - this will switch between the image features.
