Will not come on only the red light blinks and then stays on but no picture or sound and can not turn off have to unplug

Check the horziontal out put TL02 ( 2SC5148) transistor. Its possibly shorted. Pull the transistor out, ohm it out to see if it is shorted. Replace the TL02 if its shorted. Before powering the set up. Pull out the glass fuse in the power supply. Take a 100w light bulb and wire it a cross the terminals where the fuse was. Turn the set on, if the bulb lights up than goes dim, there is probably no other shorts. If if stays bright then there is some else in the circuit that is shorted. If there is anything else shorted its more than likely the flyback transformer. If the bulb is dim, go a head and put the fuse back in and see if the set comes up. Hope this is helpful
