The control panel on my Kenmore 30465 oven won't work - but is entirely lit up. All letters/numbers are illuminated in the display, but I can't get the oven to do anything.
Control is the oven clock . look for a code in the display . if no code . unplug or turn power of 5 min and retry. may need a colck .. mm

The problem is usually the igniter not reaching the correct amp draw .When the igniter does not reach the correct amp draw it may allow the gas valve to partially open or not open at all. The igniters are inexpensive and easy to replace. This video will walk you thru the correct procedure for testing an oven igniter. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, unplugging the oven even for hours did not reset the panel. all words and numbers remain illuminated and panel is still unresponsive.
Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately this didn't work either. I could not detect any dents in the membrane to suggest a stuck key. I can get the fan to turn on and off by pressing the start and clear/off buttons, but nothing else will work. All of the lights/words/numbers remain lit and the rest of the panel remains unresponsive. I'm guessing the panel will need to be replaced, which leads me to believe that it's time to upgrade - this will be our third panel in four years. Any suggestions on a double oven to replace the kenmore single (unless of course you have another trick to try)?
Thanks again for your help.
