If thats a hitachi nr90ad, then you should be using 30 degree paper taped clipped headed nails,, never use plastic or wire collated nails in that gun,, some boxes might say 30 up to 34 degree and thats fine, also in a lot of areas clipped headed nails are no longer code, so they made the nails full headed, the head is just off set,,

Why is my DeWalt D51275 15 gauge angled finish nailer bending nails and jamming?

A few things to check - some may seem overly obvious but humor me:
1) Check your nails - make sure they are the correct angle and gauge
2) Check to make sure there is not a piece of a broken nail in the nose
3) Check the driver blade & insure it is not bent or chipped
4) Make sure the nail carrier spring is pushing nails forward and isn't getting hung up

Harbor freight nailguns

Any nail or staple with the same specs can be used. For finish nails it would be the gauge (15, 16, and 18 being the most popular sizes) and angle (if angled and not straight sticks of nails), for staples it would be wire gauge and crown width, for nails it would be the nail diameter (.090, .099, .131 are examples), the nail angle in degrees (NOT counting a roofing nailer, some other coil nailers us slightly angled nails such as 15 degrees) and this is very important with a stick nailer as there are a few different ones out there, and of course max length your tool will shoot of any given fastener. Most boxes of nails/staples will have the specs you need printed on them somewhere and the owners manual will usually contain the same info.

My clipped head nailer does not shoot the new round head nails very well. constant jamming or shooting two nails at once. These are the nails stocked by Home Depot and most lumber yards

This response does not speak directly about your model of nailer, however addresses the problem of the nail supply. Generic nail suppliers are trying to sell us nails that are not exactly a perfect fit for our nailers. Nail guns are made for an exact angle and head of nail. Yet printed on the box of some of the case of nails, I see that the nails contained within will fit a variety of nailers with a variety of angles (+/- several degrees ).
You can choose a good fitting nail by taking a close look at your gun. Take a strip of nails and place them on the outside of the rails/magazine with the first nail perfectly aligned with the path of driver. With the first nail aligned with driver path, the angle of the rest of the strip of nails should align with the rails. If the angle is off slightly could be ok. Now align the strip of nails perfectly with the rails. Notice if the point of the nail or the head reaches the path of the driver blade first.
Recall that the nail should align perfectly with the path of the driver so that the driver blade will hit squarely on the head of the first nail over the shaft of the nail. If the head of the nails is forced away from the centerline of the path of the driver one way or the other, you will not get a solid square hit driving the nail true (think of hitting a nail with a large hand held hammer with an angular blow bending the nail). If the nail head is angled too far towards the path of the driver, the driver can hit two nails (the driver will hit the edge of the second nail of the strip).
The driver is designed so that it will not touch the second nail on the strip (assuming the nails fit perfectly). The driver blade is tapered at the bottom on the side that faces the nails. This taper allows the driver to hit the first nails then gently nudge the rest of the nails back into the rails slightly. To verify the shape of the driver blade, dry fire your gun into soft wood and examine the imprint. The imprint will not be round, but "D" shaped or flat on both sides like some Paslode framers. The flat side of the "D" will face towards the rails.
By using the information here, choose the nails that best fit (align) your gun (measure the angle with a protractor) . The lumber yards do not have a very good selection of brands. Try a professional fastener store that deals in nails and nail gun repair. Good luck

Where do i get the nails for this gun?

Most home/building-supply centers carry a variety of cut-head/full head nails that are glued in angle patterns. Take the gun to the store and match a clip to the magazine. If the angle of the nail stack fits up to the nailing head, they should work. If you bought this machine new, the manual should have described what was required. Hope this helps!

Check for pproper nails

what is the question, how to remove them and if so I would use a small pick to push them back out the magazine, and also when you get angle nails make sure you use the right guage.

DeWalt d51822 framing nailer, shoots 2 nails at once 1 in 5 times

I worked at at tool rental center while attending college and learned from the old tool masters about nails and nailers. Rental stores have many different brands of nailers to rent and customers would bring their own nails of all brands. You will notice on the case/box that your nails will /should work on many other brands however the degree or angle of the nails is not always exacly as stated on the box. You should check with protractor the exact angle of your nails and also check the exact angle of the nailer. Use straight edge on travel path of the piston and another on guide rails to check angle of the gun. You will discover that all is not as stated as in a perfect world. If the angle is off slightly, the head of the second nail will get into the path of the driver. This happens mostly with clip head because the nail heads are so close together. The full round head is spaced further apart with less jamming. If angle is off slightly, take a look at other brands of nails with protractor in hand, the angle will be different slightly or choose a slightly thicker nail. Look for the nails to fit with bottom of nail hitting the barrel first. This will move the head of the nail slightly away from the center line. Finally do not release pusher with force as this will jamb nails closer together. Good Luck!?
