I have this Receiver/Amplifier and let me tell you its a beautiful sounding amp and it looks great, now are you famillier with series and parallel, if so then you should know that when you turn on the other channel when one is already on it runs them in a series so that being said make sure you have speakers on both the left and right on A and B for them to work fully i hope this helped

You can calculate power needed as follows:-
amplifier power must be 20% more than the total power of all speakers(if total speakers power is 100 watt)you need amplifier of 120 watt at least more is ok.

Hi gud day!! Need help w/ kenwood amp ka-128...no sound but theres power. When speaker is connected theres hum then speaker relay cliks to off.Is the problem in amp or to the preamp? Thanks

I would suggest a problem with the output stage of the power amp. It's more than likely detecting a high current or short and is shutting the outputs down to protect.

My Kenwood KA-128 wad playing One Night and just tienes off. When I turned it back on, the only light that came on was a red doyt on the volume control knob.

Make sure you have +12 volts on both the red and yellow wires as well as a solid ground. If that is the case then disconnect power and wait about 5 ninutes...this will cause a hard reset. If it still doesn't turn on try disconnecting all speakers...if it still won't turn on the unit is defective...if it does then reconnect each speaker one at a time ubtil it shuts off...then you know you have either a bad speaker or a wire issue with that speaker

Integrated Amp to Power Amp

Unfortunately, there is not. You risk over driving the amp if you do that

Kenwood ka 996 integrated amp. The standby light will dont turn off. I also need to see if someone will tell how everything should be hooked up.

the standby light should be on if the unit is not 'ON' if you want the 894 to turn on when you power up the 996, then you will have to plug the ac for the 894 into the 'switched' ac outlet on the back of the 996
what specific problems do you have with this system

Power amplifier kenwood, power led blinks, no sound

There will be noaudio coming out , if the protection circuits is

sensing a fault or overload , just to protect your precious speaker

from further damage ( or the amp itself ).

These needs servicing.

How can i find a remote that will control the volume on my Kenwood KA-127 amp?

Any universal remote capable of controlling a stereo should be able to control the volume, power, and muting. Beyond that my experience is that hitting random buttons will sometimes get other functions, eg. the "2-/12" button on my universal remote changes it to CD mode :/ You just need to find the codes for Kenwood in the instructions or online, and try all of them.
Sorry I'm a few years late, but I hope this will help anyone else with this problem.

KENWOOD Power Amplifier

The power amp does need an imput signal ie. tuner, cd , and such to play. You can use the power amp with the other equipment.
Good Luck
