I need to find an adapter for my dell dimension 2400 to connect the speaker to the computer. Where do I find that??

Any set of "computer-speakers" will have a connector (usually GREEN coloured) that connects to the "line-out" (a GREEN circle) socket on your computer.

See: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/dynex-dynex-3-5mm-audio-cable-dx-mp353g-green-dx-mp353g/10153080.aspx

for a picture of the connector that will connect to your computer.

The volume knob from my right computer part Rev A00 broke off. Computer model Dell dimension 2400. Can I get a replacement knob and where?

Sounds like you broke the volume control knob for your speakers (Likely A215s)
Best bet, new pair of speakers as they don't sell replacement parts for the speakers themselves

I have a Dell Latitude D820. If I plug in external speakers, I can hear audio. Unfortunately, I can't hear audio from the computer speakers.

The "internal" speaker in a DELL is just meant to "beep" (once at startup, or multiple times if the computer is warning you that it is overheating), rather than trying to be a "full-function" speaker.

No have audio the pc

Check for proper connections. Ensure you have installed proper drivers. Increase volume of both volume control and wave control (right click on speaker icon in tray and select 'adjust volume control'). And finally check for the serviceability of speakers. You can do this by connecting the speakers to any audio device like MP3 players, DVD/CD players, another computer.

Volumn not working after moving to another room.

Make sure the speakers are connected to the correct jack (Speaker out Green, Mic In Pink)

Make sure speakers are plugged in and turned on.

If you have integrated audio built in to the motherboard, make sure Audio is enabled in the BIOS. If you have a soundblaster or other 3rd party Audio card installed in the motherboard expansion slot, then make sure integrated audio is OFF in the BIOS.

Download and reinstall sound card drivers from support.dell.com

Sound Problems

To make it easy for you this is the default audio driver for Dimension 2400 systems. Click on this link ---> http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/downloads/en/downloads_splash?c=us&l=en&s=gen&~mode=popup&file=122481
this would install your integrated audio driver for your system.
Let me know if this resolved this issue.

No Audio on my desktop

1) Plug the speakers back into the power supply and make sure the power supply is plugged into the back of the speakers.
2) Make sure the speakers are plugged into the PC.

You're vague so I'm doing the best I can here.

Reinstall external speakers after a reboot / factory speakers

go to support.dell.com (dont type www before that)
click on drivers & downloads
look for an option to enter a "Service Tag" This "Service tag" is located on a sticker somewhere on your actual computer. Enter it exactly as printed on the sticker.
It will bring you to a list of software that was on the disk that you are missing. Go to the audio section and try the different ones available. There may be several different files. i cant tell which one will work without actually looking at your computer sorry. Just try different ones and hope for the best.

Hope this helped

Good Luck!
