The printer won't make a copy of a page on the glass. This message is constantly displayed: "Press Enter to align cartridges" When we align the cartridges, the printer prints a page and then the message returns. Turning the printer off, disconnecting it from the computer, or pressing Cancel does not change anything.
1. turn off / on the printer
2. press setup hold down and press options
3. press start color copy
worked for me on psc 2175

Printer will not print from puter, but will scan & copy
I have problems with my printer too. But, to cancel 'align' messages, turn printer off, then hold down <setup> and <up arrow key> while turning it back on, and hold it till the hour glass goes away. Hope it helps.
I am still trying to solve my 'out of paper' problem (on first page being printed only now), and no copying.

you can bypass when asked and use last good settings by..Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu
This problem is caused by incorrect alignment page print out caused by faulty cartridges, ideal fix is replacement of all ink carts
HP have a webpage dedicated to this...h10025.www1.hp.com
Also get on your gloves get out your vac and suck on the carts till a little ink comes out, make sure colour cart releases all 3 colours then reinstall, can get messy.

Same problem as DeDe, will not copy from printer
Same problem for over a week.
This occurred after I changed the black ink cartridge. I have unplugged it turned it off and on and still the same message.
I put copy on the glass, then press start for black copy.
Printer starts up, and I can see cartridge going over paper,
but when it comes out, there is nothing on copy!
Printer giving message, "Paper too narrow"
After trying all the suggestions I finally removed the cartridges, realigned and now its okay.
same problem as edna mae
