If this is a 220 volt pump then it needs to have 2 hot wires,so it would be connected to 2 15 amp breakers.The ground shold run from the pump back to the fuse panel box ground bar.

If this is a 115 volt pump it should be connected to one hot, one nutral, and one ground.

Possible a hot wire is making contact with water and tripping breaker.Or the pump motor is going to ground which means its no good.

It should be 1 1/4 into the well tank but can be reduced after that. Reducing the line before well tank may cause the well pump to run in excess trying build pressure and shorten lifespan of pum.

If your application is really One Horsepower. 745.7 watts then the inverter should be sufficient. However I can not be sure without more details

reducing the pipe size helps build head pressure.

This could be several problems, a better description would help. If you have a presure tank the tank can lose air and sometimes need recharging. the regulator to the pump could be bad or out of adjustment. these are the 1st problems that come to mind with water pump problems.good luck.
