Buy xlA black cartrige and it will work after u refill it. that's what i did following the info on the lexmark page.
since i'm in croatia and they don't sell XLA cartriges in croatia i had to order it from e-bay but it's ok ;)
This is a common problem with refilled or remanufactured cartridges. I would recommend sticking to official cartridges.
You can test this solution by buying a new cartridge to replace the one you refilled and you will see that the cartridge is recognized and works fine.
Anything else you need, just let me know
SOURCE: i refilled my lexmark catrige, now the printer
Howdy Doug! If you filled the ink yourself, a common issue is the initial flow well. Take a cotton ball or Q-tip and dab a SMALL amount of alcohol, almost ANY would be ok for this, and wipe the ink cartridge and also the port for the ink to flow into the printer. This will release any sticky residue you might have built up, also great for just routine maintenance..... PLEASE let me know if this does not work, we can dig further if needed! pleasure to assist today, take care.... Guy :)
