Hello there:
this device should be automatically recognized by the computer once placed into the usb port And some of these devices need to have software to be installed on the computer before it will recognised.
if it is not recognised i would try to put it in a different slot and if it still doesent work re-start the computer and go into the bios and under the peripheral section and look for the usb section and make sure that the usb is enabled and also you will want to make sure that the plug and play is enabled this may be in the first screen now once you have made any changes make sure that you save and exit and restart the computer .
Now if this still doesent work i would suggest making sure that the device has a good battery and it does work properly and if you have to use a different computer to see if the other computer will recognise it ok
if the other computers will recognise it than you know that it is your computer
Hope this is very helpful; for you
Best regards Michael
Hello,
Is the battery dead when you connected it? When you connect the MP3 player on the USB port, do you get any light signals etc? Try moving it into another USB port.
