Blackberry 8100 wont start at all! this morning it was just fine till the alarm shouted up and the screen went blank (that reminded me of the famous blue screen windows xp error) so i turn it off and now it wont start.. i tried to plug it on the pc and a red light blinked once, then it turned yellowish and after a while it was green so i tried to turn it on and nothing.. then i tried to change sofware from 4.5 to 4.2 and computer said it was succesful but the screen in my bb didnt turned on even one.. so i just dont know what to do.. i have a BB pearl 8100 and ive owned it for a while so i dont know whats wrong.. please help me i dont wanna throw it over the garbage..!!

This may be due to a faulty battery. Try plugging the phone into the wall charger, and see if the blank screen goes away while plugged in. If it does, then it is a faulty battery, and you need a new one.
If it doesn't, try to do a factory reset through the desktop manager.

It looks battery completly drained and dead (as It took so much time), the best way first to check "Circuit" status in Battery through Voltmeter (poles)..or another way go to any cell phone shop and give a trial with another batterty to check status of your unit.
My Blackberry also wouldn't turn on, till a sharp tap at the top left of the screen made the screen flicker into life and I realised it was on, just no screen. After intermittent screen failing, repeated tapping seems to have fixed the problem. I'll upgrade to a new Blackberry when my contract allows.
The same happened to me when I dropped my phone in my briefcase. It actually still had audio, as it rang when calls came in. However, the rest of the phone was useless. You will need to replace the entire unit, unfortunately.
