Internet is too slow how to make it fast

When you plugged in the ethernet cable, does it show on your windows tray (lower right corner of the screen) that the LAN is connected? It should show you "Connected" if you hover your mouse on the LAN icon.

Try also to plug in the ethernet cable to a different port on the router, and that the port number on the router is showing a solid green led light.

If all has been observed and still you cannot connect, look if the network adapter for your lan is working. RIGHT click your My Computer or "Computer" and select Manage. The Computer Management window will open. Click on the Device Manager on the left to show the list of devices on the right. Look for Network Adapters and click the + sign. See if your LAN adapter is not showing any yellow exclamation point. Also, right click on it and select Properties. You should see the device is working properly under status.

Reconnect your ethernet cable . Right click on the LAN connection icon and click on repair.. It will get clear otherwise,go to command prompt, type ipconfig. Now you will get ip address of your system. Thentype ipconfig/release to release your ip and after some time type ipconfig/renew .in command prompt...So you will be getting new ip and it will be faster. Hope this will helps you...Thank you...

If your LAN connection is on the Task Bar the right click on this Icon and left click on REPAIR.
If no Icon on Task Bar the click on Control Panel - Network Connections - then right click on your LAN Connection and left click on REPAIR.

Please ensure the following:

1. Make sure you use the LAN port.
2. Ensure the cable is in good condition. Try using new cable.
3. Ensure you installed proper network card driver.
4. Ensure the network card using correct link speed (100Mbps).
5. Try switching the link speed to Auto, if you're not sure.

These are the basics. If possible, try installing the latest firmware for your network card. Normally, downloadable from the manufacture's site.

you have to renew the ip address.the easiest way to do this is restart the computer then try entering your net key.ALSO if you use a standard ethernet cable the computer may be trying to connect to the internet through that.what you want to do is disable the LAN connection in your network connections window and right click on the wireless connection icon and click REPAIR,this will renew your IP address also.If you do not know how to get to these settings go to START/ CONTROL PANEL/NETWORK CONNECTIONS then right click on your wireless connection then click repair.While your in that same window you can right click the LAN connection and disable it.To enable it simply right click the icon again and click enable.
