Lg wm1812cw front load washer

I have noticed laundry soap leaking out the bottom of the dispenser tray.  When I took the tray out there was laundry soap or fabric softener build up below the tray.  It was so built up that it came to the bottom of the dispenser tray.  In some areas it was 2" deep.  I cleaned this out and did a load of laundry.  I took the tray out to see if there was any residue.  When I ran my finger across it there was laundry soap still in the bottom, below the dispensing tray.  I did not use fabric softener in that load and I only use the fabric softner in the summer when I hang clothes on the clothes line.
What can I do to have all of the soap rinsed into the machine?

This makes sense to me.  We have a whole house filter, that gets clogged and the water pressure can be slow when the filter needs to be changed.

    Thank you

We had the same problem- for us it was because we were mixing laundry booster (Oxyclean) with liquid soap in the dispenser. It seems the water running through the tray had insufficient pressure to properly flush the tray out, so residue accumulated on the back & underside of the tray. Our water pressure is good here, and we don't use a water softener or filters that can reduce the pressure. Unfortunately it seems to just be a bad design of the soap dispenser tray.

We also had a problem with water/bleach leaking from our soap dispenser- when we used the bleach compartment in the dispenser we got leaks dripping onto the floor from behind the front cover of the washing machine. It was running down the front of the washer behind the front cover & coming out onto the floor. The repair guy said this was because the dispenser tray was pulled out too far, but the reason we were pulling the soap tray out so far was because the bleach compartment was too far back in the tray to use if we didn't. Now we just leave the drawer partially closed & pour the bleach directly into the soap compartment along with the soap.

Is your water fill cycle slow? If there is not enough water supply pressure due to blockage, a trickle may not be enough to get all the soap into the tub and you'll be left with a wet clump of soap. If you've got a brisk supply of water, then it isn't flowing through the soap dispenser properly. Good Luck!

My lg washer appears to be leaking from the soap tray area, what needs to be replaced and how?

The hose from the soap drawer to the tub may be split. These hose have flexible ridges and its common for them to split inside one of the ridges.

Kenmore Elite HE3t Front Load Washer leak from dispenser

I was just about to call the service teck when I decided I shouldn't be this stupid and try and fix it myself.

I took the tray out and looked in with a flashlight.
Saw nothing.
Cleaned the tray and then checked the drainage hole inside the opening where the tray normally feeds the machine the soap.

I found a inside of the liquid XXXKing laundry cap partially blocking the drain.

Took it out and works fine.

Fabric softener not draining

Remove the dispenser drawer by pushing down on the tab at the center back and pulling drawer out. Now, remove the top of the fabric softener compartment and the parts of the soap dispenser and clean them all out. An old toothbrush often helps. Reassemble and replace. They should siphon out now.

Water Leaking really bad from the Dispenser area

Disconnect the plug from the outlet. Remove the top of the washer panel by removing the 2 back hex screws then sliding it back to lift it off of the washer. Take off the front control panel by removing the phillips screws holding it in place. Remove the dispenser drawer. Check the dispenser housing for clogs or lime build up at the bottom of the dispenser housing. Or the drain hose (large black hose attached to the front of the drawer housing) to the washer may be crimped or clogged.

Soap dispenser not working

It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter.  Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve.  Clean out the filter with toothbrush.  Reinstall and everything should be ok.

LG front loader problem

If you remove the top cover you will see the soap dispenser unit on the left. It has a large rubber hose connecting it to the drum. If you remove two screws at the front you can free the dispenser for maintenance. You can undo the clips on the various hoses and check that they are clean.

Some people report some dripping from the soap dispenser even when the hose is unblocked. This seems to be a design fault.
