Manual Reset procedure Waste Ink Tank for Canon MP390 and Canon MP360 Just Follow these steps to reset waste ink tank:

Start with printer on, press additional functions, Scan, Copy, Scan. Now you should be in service mode.

Select Test mode which is like the last available selection

Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other option this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button

· The menu will now say EEPROM Clear

· Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set

· Then press Stop/Reset Followed by the power button and then wait for it to restart.

My Canon MP390 Printer has come up ''Waste Inn Tank nearly full'' What should I do

CANON printers "compute" the "fullness" of the waste-ink container, based on the number of pages printed, and the "density" of the ink on each page. So, this calculation has produced a "nearly full" prediction. Take the printer to a qualified technician.
They will empty the waste-ink container, and "reset" the electronics in the printer, back to "zero-per-cent-full".

Error message that the waste ink tank is full

Ok there dont forget to download the MP-Tools.
There no easy way the printers are been made this way so you take them to the shop, but if you are handy with your hands and know what you are doing then you will need to take all apart and take out the ink pads inside the printer and clean them up make sure they nice dry when put back in, then you are going to need a program that you can find on the internet it will be called waste reset tools, or your printer will not work even after you done the clean out.

I am not sure what canon you have so I cant tell you the tools you need for yours, i have got canon MP-Tools on my website if this is the one you need.
with this you can reset the waste ink tank before you do the clean out but remember in time you will need to clean out or it going to be a big mess of ink coming out your printer.

All I ask is please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
