My Samsung HL-R5067W keeps turning off after it has been on for a while. I had to replace the lamp after it blew up in the tv. When it turns off it flashes the lights on the power button. I looked up what the flashing means and it explained that the door is not shut properly on the lamp housing. I reopen and shut it and it still is not correcting the problem. I have noticed that the fan is not coming on. Help.

is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.

Hi. I am having the same EXACT problem. TV was purchased 1/2/06 and has gotten progressively worse with the turning off. I thought that maybe my ventilation was bad, or my HDMI set up was causing this, but I am an expert with electronics and was just reaching because I didn't want to believe that I paid $2400 for some trash.
