You may have a venting problem. Check outside to make sure vent is blowing good. It is possible that the motor may have went bad with all of the problems associated with a clogged vent.

I have a GAS Speed Queen clothes dryer. I can't locate the model number. It says "Heavy Duty, Multi Cycle, All Fabric Automatic Dryer". I bought it new in September 1972. It has always...

It could be the vent chambers in the bottom of the machine from the front filter to the vent output to the rear exit vent ducting tubes....or the ducting itself. Flexable ducting, if you are using it, are well known to glog due to the multiple ringed wires inside. Flex is not recommended.

Also the gas line should be replaced with a gas flex line....it's the law here in CA.

WASHER VERY LOUD AFTER I REPLACED DIRECT DRIVE PUMP

No... I work speed queen all day long and I know they can be loud. Just double check and make sure the washer is sitting level. But other than that speed queen washers and dryers are just very heavy duty work horses.

Where do you find the thermostat or the fuse on dryer?

Unplug the dryer.
Remove the front panel. Two screws on the bottom left and right about 3 inches from the floor and 3 inches in from the sides.
Lift the panel off.
Remove the 2 screws on the bottom right and left of the door. Pull forward and raise it up to disengage lock tabs. Remove the door switch wires.
Under the top lid you will see 2 screws right and left holding the top on. Remove these and lift the top to the rear of the dryer.
From the floor position, reach in and remove the drum belt from the pulley and tension roller.
Remove the drum from the dryer.
On the bottom left rear of the inside cabinet you will see the heater, fuses and thermostats.
With a volt/ohm meter (vom) set for continuity you can remove at least one wire from each part. Then check for continuity through each part.
If you get no reading the part is bad.
Look for burned/separated wires also.
Reverse the above order to re-install parts.
Good luck.
