I have a Rise 'n' Time Stainless Steel Prestige Pressure Cooker which doesn't seem to reach pressure. 1. The rubber gasket appears not to fit properly. On the inside of the handle there is a little press button on a spring but the rubber ring goes inside this which means there is a gap of about an inch - should the rubber gasket have a 'hole that fits over this button so there is not a gap?
2. The rubber plug and pintle never rises only a lot of stem comes out of it - is this correct.
3. The Rise and Time Indicator never rises - is this correct?
4. When I place a cook control weights on it says in my instruction booklet to make sure it is fitted correctly. There is only one way I just push it on but it always seems loose. This never moves - is this correct?
I have replaced all the spare parts within the last six months but it is the same as before.
I too have this cooker and the rise part never rises, I find that I have to hold the handles in such a way as to help it reach pressure and then the little pin rises.You have to have the cooker gauge pointing to the left.
