SOURCE: SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro USB device driver for Windows 98

you are not going to find that, since those sandisks came AFTER W98 had gone unsupported..

usb issues are under control panel, system device manager..check for conflicts or blown drivers

Will cruzer micro work on win 98

Windows 98 does not have USB drivers, you need to install a USB driver, check with the computer shop before you purchase the flash drive.

How to make a sandisk Cruzer to operate with windows 98

This Cruzer driver package for the SanDisk Cruzer Micro is needed only for Windows 98. Windows Me, 2000 and XP already have the driver (if you are having trouble using the drive on these systems, then it is likely to be a conflict or problem in Windows - see the Windows Device Manager and Windows Help file for details).

After you download the Cruzer driver file, unzip the contents and click setup.exe to begin. Importantly, you should restart Windows 98 so the new Cruzer drivers can properly load into your system. Next, plug in the Cruzer drive and Windows will finish the installation. Restart your computer if needed.

I'm not an expert with PCs, but I have a windows 98 Operating system and have been able to use all sorts of flash drives. Everytime I buy a new one, I just plug it into the USB port and in a short time it recognizes NEW HARDWARE and loads the driver. I've used LEXAR 2GB,SANDISK 4GB, VERBATIM 2GB, and recently a ATIVA 4GB

SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB Flash Drive won't work with Win 98

Hi,

You need to download the Sansa Win98 drivers here. This is of course assuming that your Windows98 recognizes the on board USB ports of your motherboard which can be verified in the Device Manager. The Universal Serial Bus Controllers should show at the very bottom of the list of installed devices.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Sandisk flash drive

Is the account that your tying to access the drive with an Administrator account? If not, Log in as Administrator and try to access the new drive. If you ARE using Administrator privileges on the vista machine, the problem lies in the U3 smart driver. Try downloading and installing the drivers for the XP SP2 os on scan disks website, If vista rejects the install package off of the scan disk website, let me know and i'll extract the drivers and build an install for them for you.
