I have a Dish Network HD VIP 612 Solo DVR. At least three times a week I have to reset the unit as it will only display HD channels. It will not display the non-HD channels. Once reset it works properly. What is a permanent fix for this annoyance?
When you bring up your guide look at the top of the screen and you will see the LIST: if this says ALL HD then press the guide button until you see ALL SUB or a menu and select ALL SUB. If your guide keeps changing by itself its possible to have remote interfence since you have a UHF remote, especially if you also see channel changes as well. Try setting the guide and go from there.
