My Boston BA745 sub speaker stopped working also. The other speakers still work. Can this problem be fixed or should I get new speakers. Can you recommend a brand that gives excellent sound and quality at a price under $50.00. Please answer in plain English. I don't know computer slang.

I tried hooking my 6 x 9 to amp while music was playing. As soon as I touched wires it sparked, now all I have is bass from the sub and the rest of truck speakers don't work!

Question edited into understandable English! :>D

Remove the amplifier and take to a local audio engineer. One of the ICs will have been shorted out.

I recently installed Windows 7 and my Boston BA745 speakers will not work. I'm looking for driver or other solutions.

1) Try the portable player test. Unplug the speakers from the computer and plug them into the headphone output of a portable-type stereo product. This test should produce sound. If it does the problem is most likely in the soundcard, or in your internal volume settings. You should contact your computer's support group for further help in those areas.

2) Is the green power light illuminated? If not, you could have one of two possible causes. The first and less serious issue is that the power supply is not outputting the correct voltage. You can test the power supply with a voltage meter or you can always take the power supply to any electronics store and have it checked there. If it is not outputting the correct voltage (12VAC), contact our parts department for a new one at (978) 538-5136.

If the power supply is working properly, then your problem is most likely in the amplifier. In this case, we will need to fix your system here, and you can contact customer service at the above phone number to set this up.

3) If the system is connected properly and you have a green subwoofer light, disconnect the power supply from the wall for 10 minutes. This is a common problem on overloaded surge protectors. To many devices on the same surge protector can limit available power. Putting your speaker system on its own circuit (or a more dedicated one) should eliminate this problem.

4) Check the bass level on the back of your subwoofer, (or on your desktop control pod. For best subwoofer performance place the woofer on the floor along a wall or better still in a corner. This "corner loading" will increase bass output.

I have hooked this up to a working reciever that

Fill in the blanks about the working receiver.

You mention another subwoofer, which suggests your receiver manages the bass and possibly sends most or all of it to the sub.

If it's NOT sending the bass to the speaker terminals you use to drive the AM5 that would explain it's virtually silent bass module.

If those speaker terminals on your receiver can be set to LARGE, do it. Otherwise they assume the speakers are incapable of handling bass.

The subwoofer isnt working but speakers are

You mean the right and left satellite speakers are working but the subwoofer is not. Try to adjust the bass control of the subwoofer at the back. Set it to full.

Klipsch ksw subwoofer wont power on

The power supply switching transistors are likely fried. Dangerous high voltages involved. I would remove the plate and send it to Klipsch for repair.

maybe the first step could be checking the subwoofer's fuse.it is located over the power supply connector.

Boston BA745 Power Input Help

Hi, Aurimasmb
Happy Holidays!
Well, first of all, you have to see what kind of voltage got there, if is 220 or 110 etc, then you have to put your adapter on your speakers and see the AMP too. (amperage of your speakers)
then you can hit the road!
good luck

Speaker/sub bass

Hi, it is possible that the sub volume control is worn out. If your particular brand/model uses the rotary/wiper type (variable resistor) then replacing it should do the trick but this involves soldering which be done by an electronics technician or qualified to perform such repairs/replacement. Hope this helps. Cheers.
