Does your subs play when you are playing a cd?If yes then you need to check the turn on lead for your sub amp and make sure your jensen deck is putting 12 volt out when your dvd is playing. If it is not you need to find the correct amp turn on wire, if it is then you may have to re equilize your sound when you are playing dvds.
New player? Under warranty? Take it to whoever installed it. Sounds like a weak laser, or a laser alignment problem. Could also simply be a dirty laser lens, but proper cleaning requires disassembly (those laser cleaning discs are hit-n-miss, and I've seen them actually damage the laser pickup, so I do not recommend them).
Was this a burned dvd or a store bought one? Sounds like the laser that reads dvd is dirty, try to play another dvd and see what happens after cleaning.
yes its saying in toorder to play dvd's u must engage parking brake which means the wire is suppose to be hooked up to the parking brake....BUT i know the trick to make it work where u can play dvd's and drive
