Hi!
Pads #1 and 9 do not work anymore. What needs to be changed and can I get the parts without going thru a repair shop?

Check for a cracked PCB internally from the two defective pads, or if the wires have detached from the trigger. You may not need parts, but if you do, it really depends on how helpful the Roland distributor in your area is as to whether you will have any luck getting them, or you may have to go trough a local authorized repair shop.
Good luck.

My spd20 pad skin is damaged so i want get a new skin ???

Hi.

You need to order the pads skins directly from Roland.

The local Roland number is written in user manual.

Here the service locator in US. If you are based in the USA you can also order the skins from your local authorized Roland Service point.
Here Roland US support contact.

Boss FS-5U Pedal - How can I get it to change patches?

Try the follwing:

press <SYSTEM>

press <PAGE+> until CONTROL SW is shown.

press <ENTER>

Parameter: CtrlSW

press your FootSwitch (FS-5U) so the indicator-LED on your SPD-S for the footswitch is lit (or hold down <SHIFT> while pressing <PAGE> until footSW is lit)

Change the value of CtrlSW by pressing <+> / <-> until PATCH+ is shown on the display.

.. this should solve your problem.

By the way:
if you go to: ftp://ftp.roland.co.uk/productsupport/Manuals/
you will find the manual of the SPD-S for download.
On page 79 is the description for your request.

Best regards,

SPD-S.....Internal Memory Full

if you have the samples in .WAV then you will have to IMPORT them, because SPD-S can only play .SPD files (import will convert from WAV to SPD).If you have produced your samples with your SPD-S (via mic or line-in or PhraseMaker) then they are already in .SPD-format and can be assigned without importing.
In this case you just have to assign a sample to a pad, by pressing CARD ("card"=lit) you can assign samples from your CF-card to a pad.

Roland SPD-S Flash card error

The card I have always been using is now also suddenly giving this message. I found an old SanDisk 16MB and a 1GB SanDisk that works perfectly in my Boss 864 and they also give the same message. Trying to go into formatting brings the message "no card!"
