Automatic door locks will not lock rear doors, they open fine when manually locked but will not lock with switch key fob or when put in gear.

You mean that the central locking system will not lock the rear doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

Back hatch won~t open with remote or inside door locks will open manually nothing stuck or jammed?

Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

Mervia. Why is central locking not locking any door?

It's only an educated guess. If all other locks switches are working it' either the switch panel itself or an electrical short. Switches are popular, get it checked first

Why don't the rear door locks work anymore?

first is fuses are they good.?
the locks on cars are solenoids.
im guessing all ways to open it fail,
keys, key fobs, and internal controls panels?
no childern locks set (some are hidden on cars)
no drivers, panel , master lock, he pushes it and all locks freeze?
this is a general statement.
so you use a thing like a volt meter. $10 at walfart.
we check for 12vdc across the 2 solenoids.
12vdc when active is good.
0v is bad,
if you get 12v then the solenoid is bad or jammed.
if you get 0v, the controls are bad.
its that simple. and electro magnetic solenoid, is easy to test.
with any voltmeter made.
if the controls are bad we use the same method to check them.
12vdc to the switch it must be.
then you push the rear switch and 12vdc leaves this switch.
if not the switch is bad.(input good)

My keyless entry for my 2008 Volvo s 40 won't work. I've tried replacing the battery but it still doesn't work. Anything I may can do before spending money on a new key.?

How are you trying to open the door , button on key fob ? With this system you can pull up on the drivers handle an it activates Antennas in the external side door handles (C30/C70 front doors, S40/V50 rear doors)
  • Antennas in the passenger compartment and cargo compartment
  • An antenna in the rear bumper
  • Quick lock motors in the lock units in the side doors
  • The remote keyless entry (RKE) receiver receives a signal from the key
  • The switch in the clutch pedal (manual transmissions) or a signal from the brake pedal switch via the central electronic module (CEM) (automatic transmissions)
  • Key-in switch.
  • Switch in door handle and lock button on handle .
If a door handle is pulled outward, a switch closes that wakes up the system and activates the antennas in the handles on the side where the handle has been pulled out. If a valid key is within a radius of approx. 1.5 metres from the handle, the relevant door will open and the vehicle will unlock one or several doors. Which doors are unlocked depends on the settings for the system. The vehicle can also be unlocked if the handle is affected on the tailgate.

2002 Sequoia automatic locks/auto lock buttons no longer work - all doors affected

You possibly need to reprogram the lock system to match your fobs.
If it unlocks by the interior switches then its the fob programming. This site is one example you can look for. http://www.chadspictures.com/automotive/How-To-Program-Toyota-Key-Fob/ If this is not the issue the computer that does the door locks could have died or you can look for the door lock fuse or a cut or pinched wire (due to other damage in an accident or from prior mods you did). Other possibilities include intermittent door solenoids if you can use the interior switch you can click it open and closed until you find the one that does not work every time. Change it out as it can leave your vehicle unlocked or it might interrupt the system. worst case it could be the chassis computer this site sells some http://www.automotix.net/usedautoparts/2008-toyota-sequoia-chassis_computer-product-i88489256n.html?gclid=CKfowo60gb8CFQQOaQodGqUArQ . If the shift lock system is screwed up it could be casing issues also but that's a long shot.

Skoda ovtavia fob only opens drivers door

Check your car setup. Read the manual on MAXI DOT and look for Main Menu > Settings > Comfort > Central Locking. Within the Comfort menu you can also reset to factory which should set central locking to automatic.
    I hope this helps.
